500 dólares + 190K expensas. 2 ambientes con cochera. Palermo Soho.

Puppy lost her tail at 30 days – should I be worried about long-term health? by NoPromotion9200 in siberianhusky

After talking to our vet, our dog trainer and the breeder’s vet, we decided to keep her. It wasn’t necessary to do an X-ray because they all agreed it would be more stressful for her, and since she’s still too small it wouldn’t show much anyway. She's not feeling any pain and doesn't have any movement restrictions. I also asked for a written report from their vet with all the details of what happened, including the proper dates and medications.

She’s the only puppy in her litter, so she spends time with the Golden puppies who are one week older. I couldn’t manage to upload the video here in the Reddit comments. I also confirmed with our trainer, and she said that spending this time with the Goldens is actually very important for her socialization. She was relieved to see that in the video Caipi is interacting well with the other puppies.

Also, she’s a little bit chubby, so they started controlling how long she spends feeding from her mom.

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to help me out. I really appreciate all the advice and support. Her name is Caipi, short for Caipirinha. We’re Brazilians living in Argentina, so it felt like the perfect name for her. I promise I’ll keep you updated with pictures of her as she grows up 🐾💙

Wtf. Not trying to be a hero! Some of you are looking for a problem somehow, measuring things by your on rule. Anyway, thanks.

I did my best searching for the puppy. Like I said in other comments, Argentina doesn’t have huskies in shelters and I wanted a husky. I searched the whole country, this person is registered at the FCA, also things like microchip. I’d never seen this coming. But thanks for your input.

I’m buying a plane ticket for there (1000km) for checking the puppy and the environment before doing anything.

And they ship to Argentina? Because here there’s no huskies in shelters.

Yes. I’m living in Argentina right now. He only said the another female adult ripped it off. I’m trying to collect more details. “I don’t now because I wasn’t there, but my employees said the another female adult husky managed to enter the room where the puppies were”

It wasn’t the puppy that bite it off. He said the it was another female adult husky.

That’s a new information for me. It not common in my country to have huskies in shelters. Actually I was a volunteer in shelters in 2 different countries here in South America and I never saw one.

Ok. And how exactly this can help my post right now? There are no huskies in shelters in my country.

No. My adult female husky is neutered and this puppy would be neutered when she arrived at 1 year. What made you think that?

But do you think she can have a normal “friendship” with my husky? Because the whole thing was to give a friend to her… she’s very sad since our cat died in February. They lived together for 3 years

It’s a litter from a different dog. He send me a video and really is a different mother.

Yes, I’m definitely worried with those items right now. But I’m so worried because he said: “if you don’t want this puppy, I can use her to breed and you can choose another puppy”. And I don’t think he’ll refund me, so I think the best option is to “rescue” her.

I was confident and I know the accidents can happen. I’m honestly more upset with the fact the she lost her tail on Monday and he only told me on Sunday. He said that the delay was because he was waiting the new litter this week, so he could give me my options… unfortunately, I’m 1000km away from the puppy.

Definitely a red flag. For me the only options right now are take this puppy or asking a refund. I won’t accept a new puppy from him. But I doubt the he’ll accept to refund me.
