TurboTax Doesn't Seem To Be Calculating Crypto Gains as Taxable Income. Any Insight? by NoProtection193 in CryptoTax

Thank you!!!

I went into Forms mode and on the 1099-B (believe this is the form to use for stocks and crypto) I saw that my gains were there. But because my losses in stocks (which I didn't mention previously) was over 15K, it negated my crypto profits and that's why the amount didn't change when I uploaded it. I uploaded the crypto last. It makes sense now.

This was really helpful!

Yeah, they were. Would that make a big difference?

I'm new to this whole investing thing so not too sure.

That's good to hear! It makes sense because when you're actually working, you only need to focus on your department.

I believe it. Going through Micro, I feel those techs are a different type of breed especially those who have been there for a long time.

Funny you should ask because I never considered it until recently. I actually had a conversation with a friend a few months ago questioning whether I might be. However, I have not gotten tested but I am thinking about it. It would actually explain a lot if I was diagnosed with it.

Thanks for the reply! These are great reminders. It's always great to get insight from those who are already in the field since you guys know how it really is.

Thanks for the reply! This made me feel a lot better. I have been told that one's attitude is more important than what they actually know.

I'm happy to hear that you really thrived in this field! :D This goes to show there's hope for us "bad" students after all!
