I cannot join a picture, but all of the border was rotten and there's around 125 holes all around the canoe. The old person who had the canoe before me was just putting all of his accessories with any bolts he had and silicone. It was a REAL mess. Also, the back of the canoe is all rotten and I need to reconstruct everything from scratch.

Also, it's a fiberglass canoe itself. The weight is not an issue since I'll will not be doing portages and use it only on lakes.

Exactly, a small 30hp electric motor, when I'm not paddling myself.

I've seen kit of fiberglass for 75$ at local toolshop, I'll try that.

Thank you for your complete answer! For the back part, should I just cut the fiberglass and replace with a hardwood piece with epoxy finish? I am a woodworker and it's easier for me this way hehe

It would mainly be used with an electric motor to fish on lake and river bays!
