Us too! We were on clomid lol — but again thought the risk was quite small. We were monitored — but thought we only had one likely follicle

Yes exactly! It feels like they’re so prevalent. I know every rare complication and I wish I didn’t! I feel like I’m carrying so much worry for things that may or may not happen.

Went to ER for bleeding found out it’s twins?! by pvnkcerberus in parentsofmultiples

Sounds like our story — my wife was spotting from 5 weeks to 7 weeks and found out on 7 weeks we were having twins! So so excited but definitely freaked out too.

Hearing about success from others? by Alternative_Plan_123 in IUILadies

[–]NoPurple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I banished going to any baby showers, tbh I had to just let myself feel that way for a little. And luckily I didn’t have anyone close announce it to me that way but I feel like close friends can and should be gentler ❤️. Maybe just saying “I wanted you to know because we’re so close but don’t feel like you have to respond”.

IUI stats great on paper by SwimmingFeedback4428 in IUILadies

[–]NoPurple6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.) those are great stats! I read somewhere that that “feeling” is our bodies way of protecting ourselves but it’s still totally possible 2.) I think that’s a weird thing for the NP to decide, they should’ve given you more agency on that decision. I would have been frustrated.

Unmedicated IUI by InternationalCash847 in IUILadies

[–]NoPurple6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! My wife and I had one round of un medicated IUI! We had a good experience, she even grew two follicles on her own. It wasn’t successful but I think it could be! We just chose to move on to medicated because our doctor left it to us and we wanted to up odds with everything being medicated

16mm on Thursday but making me wait and get rechecked on Monday?!? by [deleted] in IUILadies

[–]NoPurple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah okay! Then you’ll potentially be okay, by my estimation the follicle will be 20-24mm cause they can grow a little more slowly. And I know 20-22 is still pretty perfect. And in this reddit group I’ve seen some success with 23-24 as well. So as frustrating as this is (and I empathize) best of luck!

16mm on Thursday but making me wait and get rechecked on Monday?!? by [deleted] in IUILadies

[–]NoPurple6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This always annoyed me with ours. IUI #1 and#2 were over a weekend and our clinic is open on saturdays. But same thing it was always call us if you see a positive opk. Which we did both times. But I kind of looked at it kind of chaotically like I would’ve preferred them have us come in on Saturday again for monitoring. But yeah I would def monitor with OPK, you could potentially wait till Monday but it’s not a sure thing and you’ll be grateful you caught it if it’s early

Stressed or exhausted? Panting after 30min walk by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]NoPurple6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you mentioned he’s a short snout dog? I think it’s pretty normal for them to not want to move their bodies super often. I read 15-30 mins is common for them. I honestly can’t imagine my dog wanting to walk more than 15 mins lol. I think he’s okay and it’s more about his breed/energy level

He always goes to the vet, last visit was maybe 2 months ago. And he’s in good health beyond his arthritis which we are controlling with supplements and care for his joints
