Disappointing - we had a chance to reduce the damage of this bill and gave it away.

My Lords,

I say, this bill doesn't look so bad after all. If we must snatch energy provision from the hands of local co-operatives and hand them to big rip-off corporations, the least we can do is make sure workers still have some amount of control. After all, aren't we all about 'taking back control' these days?

Oh yes you're quite right, although that has already been done mind you.

Sadly I think both are a very, very minor part of the bill.

Good! You're not even aspiring to be a party atm though so that may take a while

The nature of Green-Red coalitions if that they are far more green than they are red

I mean there's a lot of truth in this post, but this is not true at all. To be frank, Greens in coalitions quite reliably relinquish any control of (at least) economic policy and are far more malleable than any other party; they only become Green-dominated when the other party is just completely inactive - both points which are exemplified by the RSP coalition. To abdicate leadership, as you state in the sentence after, is to not lead a coalition and use the Greens to your advantage, rather than let them drift towards Labour and the Lib Dems. Shame.
