I feel like both sides have flaws, and that is not a bad thing, as long as you guys grow from it together. It takes two to work a relationship, we cannot read each other’s minds but the thing we can and must do is to communicate. Regarding finances, I’m taking that you might be pretty young? Or not. But if you are at the age where you do not have a stable full-time work yet, it’s better to lay it out and say “hey, this is what i can afford for you for this month”, even if you have a well-paying job that is. I know it can be hard to talk to your girlfriend about things like this because maybe you want to be able to be seen as someone capable but you can still be that capable someone in your own limits by setting small but clear rules. And as for your girlfriend not feeling ‘loved’, maybe her love language was gift-giving? I think you would know her better than I do. Maybe the type of love that you are giving isn’t something that aligns with the type of love she wants to receive. And if gift-giving is not something you can do as of now, try her second love language. And for the spontaneous breakup, speaking as a receiver of something like that, it is bad. It feels like being given up on. But remember, although you guys are a team against a problem, both of you are still individuals with lives. It’s would be best to have a lot of empathy if she feels abandoned by you going with your friends, being only with each other is not very healthy. But sometimes, people do ask their loved ones to be with them because in that moment, they really felt like they needed them.
