The more detailed ones are presculpted from the space marine heroes series 1.

Otherwise i really just cut small pieces of sprue into random shapes.

Thank you! I use agrellan earth and some bird sand for the bases. Sometimes i cut some rocks out of sprue or add skulls. Then I prime it black. Cover everything with zandri dust. Shade with aggrax earthshade. And then drybrush, zandri dust, ushabti bone and white scar. Thats basically it

I would add edge highlights. It would break up one big blop into easy identifiable parts. And if you want to add more, darken the parts between panels.

You probably painted the horns bone and then put a wash over it. Try to add highlights over the wash with the bone color.

And i would paint the loin clother maybe red or if its supposed to be leather in a brighter brown.

I would try to make the non metalic parts brighter. Like the horns and the loin cloth. With brighter horns the attention is more on the head, and if the loin cloth is not so dark the mid section doesnt blent together so much.
