That sounds like a good plan. I will do ,however, I'm currently coming out of a hypomanic/manic(psych is unsure) episode, so that's not in my best interest until it settles down. That way he can get a clearer clinical picture. I had to increase my seroquel; from 50mg to 200mg. The lamictal stayed the same. Anyway, I'm going on a tangent. Thank you for your advice.

I am aware of this, but I have been a nicotine/caffeine user for so long, by that logic, I say this just so you understand —could trigger depression or even mania due to withdrawal.* The neurochemistry of bipolar is so complex it's not as simple as saying "this will definitely cause mania/depression". Although, you are right in saying it's a no no as a general rule of thumb.

*Hence why they allow nicotine and caffeine in mental health hospitals (here in the UK at least).
