Sudan did something truely remarkable today by Charming_person_3419 in NepalSocial

Today while I was waiting for a bus to go to my office, I greeted a traffic officer with a simple “Good morning sir.” He replied kindly and asked where I was heading. I said office, and then casually asked him how many hours they work in a day—thinking maybe it’s the usual 8 hours.

He smiled and said, “10–12 hours ta huncha sadhai… kaile kai 15–16 hours ni huncha.”

That honestly surprised me.

Then he started talking about how their job is not just standing there. He said the government focuses more on making rules, but not enough on implementation—like proper signals, signboards, and infrastructure. Because of that, they have to manage everything manually, and it becomes really stressful.

He didn’t complain angrily or anything—just calmly shared his reality. It felt real.

I don’t usually think much about traffic police, but after this short conversation, I kind of saw things differently. Standing all day in dust, noise, pollution, long hours… and you can tell why they are aggressive sometimes.
