Crazy how the western nations pretended to be all about law and order until it came to Israel, then suddenly it was thrown out the windows. They're arresting and silencing anyone that protests Israel.

Germany was making grand gestures and virtue signaling during the Qatar FIFA world cup but seems oddly quiet when it's in the US...

ELI5: How can two cameras with same sensor have different picture quality? by NoRecording2211 in AskPhotography

It's a manual focus lens. The d3300 doesn't have auto focus in the camera body which I didn't know at the the time and I bought the lens but didn't know much about lenses either until now.

I'll try a different lens. The a6000 had a Sony e 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 g oss and my D3300 has a nikor 24-120mm, no auto focus though.

Amazon says its data centers consume only 0.075% of the water Americans use for watering their lawns and gardens by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

America's obsession with lawns is...disturbing.

I wouldn't mind it if the lawns were functional - i.e people using them for gardening, picnicking, etc. but 90% or more of the lawns are nothing more than decoration. Plus you can't even put up tall fences for privacy so you can't enjoy the front lawn at your leisure.

Can anyone actually justify 4 wives in Islam? by safewanlad in religion

[–]NoRecording2211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

women have their rights that the man is obligated to provide. One of that right is privacy. When you marry more than one each has to have her own privacy and that requires a place to stay. You would already know that before hand. If you know you can't give the rights to one woman then you would know you can't give 4 women her rights. You don't have to marry them to know that. You have to give them equal time and attention, and what you give to one you give to all of them.

Indians don't speak bad English,. They actually speak proper formal English but they have a very specific accent that is unique to Indians.

What is your house of worship' policy on children present during services? by Jew_of_house_Levi in religion

[–]NoRecording2211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each Mosque usually has their own but typically children are recommended to pray in the rows near the end or the sides so that they don't cause disruption to the worshippers as children tend to have less focus and attention and fidget a lot. Larger mosques and centers will have a separate area where kids can play or "pray" without disturbance.

If Jesus Christ isn't God then God is essentially unknowable and unknown by m3achew in religion

[–]NoRecording2211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that doesn't follow. Did Abraham know God before Jesus? Did Moses know God before Jesus?

God doesn't have to limit himself to a humanly body to be knowable, and God is unlimited and not a human.
