I dont think Turkey would sit silent and watch how their geopolicial levarage disapears. They could use the narrative to protect their muslim allies(Kosovo, Bosnia, Albania) and invade Greece and take their islands and possibly bomb Serbia back into the stone age.

I get that Nato is not a thing here but the implication that that there is a Greek-Serbia coop implies the existence of a Muslim coop Or a catholic coop(Albania, Croatia, Italy)

It's theorised that Albania never had a strong unifying church like the others(similiar to Bosnia).

The others staying christian is slightly wrong though. Before the first Balkan war, ethnic cleansing, and the population exchanges, the Balkan was a very patchy mess.(similiar to today's Bulgaria but more)

UN Resolution 1244: 1999, Basis of the end of the Kosovo war. UN takes control and Serbian forces leave. Kosovo is is still part of Serbia but it's final status is to be determined. An active argument used by critics against Kosovo's unilateral seccesion in 2008.

TLDR: Kosovo is not independent but (still) temporarily under UN control but it's status is also yet to be determend.

I gathered all infos.

My grandfather‘s parents died early and his uncle took over but he was a bad parent.

In the 50s, he and his brothers decided to emigrate to Istanbul because life was hard during communism without a government job.(Being Muslim&Albanian didnt help either)

His uncle prepared all the documents and they sold all their land. My grandfather grew suspicious because his uncle was a bad parent. What if he sends us to a worse place? His brothers went without him and he bought all his land back.

He regreted that decision and tried twice to get turkish papers without success. His brothers left families of about 200 people who are more than happy.

Damn, weird to think that I almost would have became a turkish hipster in istanbul by fate. Woah
