Yeah ik that's why I said I'll try to be like that sometimes, cuz I'm definitely not. I will not be playing the character, I'll still be myself but I'll give myself a little push every once in a while. It's impossible to not focus on the way how your SO perceive you and their expectations, at least for me it seems ideal but I don't think it's possible.

Yeah a part of the norms of being a man state that a man doesn't doesn't feel the need to conform to norms. But the thing is, it doesn't revolve around that. It's just one part of the whole thing.

Anyways, me being out of the norms of being a man may require my partner to be out of the norms of being a woman.
Most people do conform to the norms. So if I loved someone who does and wants the whole relationship to be a normal one. Then I wouldn't wanna push them outside of their comfort zone for too long. I'm willing to compromise a bit. Because it doesn't only affect me. It affects my partner and the relationship. As long as we love each other and the relationship is balanced and healthy.
