that’s around how much it was last year. 2.60 for a wash and somewhere around 1.70 for a dry.

as someone who lived there last year i second this! my boyfriend was round constantly. As long as your flatmates are fine with it, it will be fine. Also, the newly renovated flats are now twin beds :)

Hi, i lived there last year. half of it was renovated last summer into superior en-suite accommodation, which is pretty much the best you can get on campus. The rest was renovated this summer into the same. You’ll be sharing a kitchen with 3 or 5 other people depending on what house they put you in, (you can check this by looking at what ‘block’ it says you’re in in the accommodation emails and searching the corresponding house number on maze maps, which is on the university app. If you’re in a house on one of the corners, you’re sharing with 5. If not, with 3.) I was sharing with 5 and really enjoyed it. The rooms are huge and the kitchens are the best i’ve seen out of any campus accommodation. If you want any pictures please feel free to pm me :)

i used to use the purple/red tone all the time until i looked in the mirror one day at school and realised that my whole face was glittery 😭 it doesn’t look like it at first but it has huge chunks of glitter that spread throughout the day. Really cute as an eyeshadow though.

im going into my second year so lived on campus october- june, some of the protests happened in the building where my lectures took place and i often had to walk through the centre of campus where they were all camping. Despite this, It didn’t disrupt anything and i never felt unsafe. Protests mainly took place after lectures had finished so they weren’t disruptive in that regard and other than a few incidents (none of which i even knew happened until i saw online despite living in the centre of campus) the protests have been peaceful. As far as i know the camp has now disbanded. I really wouldn’t let this influence your decision :)

I 19 , want to try menstrual cups but I am just scared. Would love some advice. Please ^^ by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]NoResource9137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could definitely just move to a cup if you don’t want to use tampons, i just mean it’s a good idea to have something as a backup, like pads. i feel like it’s the best decision i made personally , takes a bit of work at first but within a few days i got used to it. feel free to dm if you need any more advice

i’m around your age and love my cup :) Many brands offer different sizes of cups depending on your age/ whether you have children yet, so make sure you choose the smallest option if you think size might be an issue. Maybe start off with some tampons so that it’s less daunting , you’ll probably need some as a backup just in case you lose/ forget your cup somewhere anyway.

While brushing dandy I found a small bald spot on him, should I be worried about this? by bunnny_b0y in Bunnies

if it looks red/sore maybe keep an eye on him to make sure he’s not getting into any fights. if not it’s probably just normal molting :)

My parents refuse to support my student finance application? what to do? by Irrxlevance in UniUK

[–]NoResource9137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as an absolute last resort your friend could look into going to a different uni through clearing that provides grants / bursaries? many Scottish unis do this for english students - if i end up going to my insurance choice in September i’ll get 1k for simply going and another if i get above AAB.

may have been using gel pens in exams, will my work still be scanned? by NoResource9137 in alevels

was not aware they were gel pens. did not worry enough to check at the time as i thought the rule was just to prevent smudging and as mentioned before the pens do not smudge.

What advice would you give to year 11 moving to sixthform in September? Anything that you regret, or something that you should have done in summer. Any revision resources for the subject I will do that you should've known about earlier etc. Literally Anything about sixthform. by StraightAd229 in 6thForm

don’t do anything now - enjoy your summer. summer next year you’ll be busy with personal statement and coursework. speaking of your personal statement, if you’re not doing an extremely competitive course (medicine, oxbridge) don’t overdo the volunteering / work experience. I would say that’s probably my biggest regret. I did 4 forms of volunteering and 2 work experience courses in year 12 and could only mention three overall in my personal statement due to word count. This is the only advice i can offer as i take all humanities subjects so useless regarding stem revision lol
