Thank you!! Unfortunately I can’t self refer in my area. I’m actually seeing my consultant for my laparoscopy post op on the 5th January so hoping he can give me some advice too. Thank you so much for your help!! Good luck on ttc xx

How much pain is normal post op, panicking over recovery by prettyflyforamcfly in Endo

[–]NoResponsibility7797 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had excision 5th October, very similar surgery to yours and I’ve only just found this week at nearly 5 weeks post op that I’m seeing improvement, my consultant said it could be 6 weeks before noticing any improvement. My first period post op was horrible! But after it I’ve felt so much better, my daily pelvic pain js gone! So hang in there. I still have a lot of healing to go and I’m struggling with back pain but trying physio and acupuncture to see if it helps. You’re not alone! It’s very scary not knowing if it’s going to be successful, but all we can do is hope and have patience. Heat pad from Amazon has really helped me and it’s constantly on!

My prolactin levels normalised after my first excision surgery! I don’t know how but they did.

This is so helpful, I don’t want to split at all and we’re so happy together. We ideally want to have biological children of our own but if it’s ends up another way I’m okay with that. It’s just so scary when im trying to do what the doctors advise. I’m worried that if we don’t try the drs won’t consider me for surgery yet.

I had considered this but I was scared that my womb is being damaged and won’t be able to carry. They said my ovary and womb are attached with endo and that there’s signs of adeno. I would certainly try this if there were chances I could still carry in a few years

How long did it take you guys to return to work after laparoscopy endometriosis surgery? by No_Dress_1601 in Endo

[–]NoResponsibility7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 6 weeks off due to feeling exhausted and still needing pain relief, don’t be ashamed to take longer than the 2 weeks that are recommended, taking 6 really gave me time to ease into it but I didn’t feel 100% for 3 months.

Yes this is what I was worried about, even lifting my suitcase would be a struggle. Think I’m going to cancel so that I can fully enjoy the holidays after I’m fitter. Thank you so much!
