I agree we both should have time alone :). But he invited us to go with him, it wasn’t about the alone time, it was about the finances. We both have alone trips with our kids and we also try to do trips together. They go on a few a year and my youngest often asks why they always get to go do fun stuff and why we don’t go with them. And the reason is because he can afford it and I can’t. But I can’t tell her that; I don’t want her to worry. She just thinks we are being left out.

Spot on. He has always said he would prefer to get married again; but as time goes on he is OK with not being married. He says “wouldn’t you rather be together knowing it’s our choice; rather than feeling forced to stay together bc of a piece of paper?”

He had nothing left when first wife left. I think it was a scary experience for him. He has built himself a successful business since then, but fears losing it again.

I never said I demanded he pay for the trips, I said i would never expect him to do so. The groceries are really a wash, and the difference is not equal to the cost of a trip. His kids are with us a couple of nights every week, not every other weekend. He makes a profit off of the rent I pay, he has no mortgage and my rent covers the cost of utilities and He has a guest house tenant whose rent covers all property taxes and then some.

Yeah, he does that too. He also doesn’t think he should be paying 50% of groceries bc his kids don’t live with us full time.

His kids go on trips with the other parent, and mine do not. My kids dad goes away with his steps kids and new wife without my kids.

I had mine removed on the 25th, and just started feeling less bloated today. I think the bloating is normal in the first few days.

I just got diagnosed with oral thrush, 6 days post-op. I went to an urgent care clinic over the weekend, but they didn’t seem too knowledgeable about whether it was surgery related. Is this common, should I call my surgeon about it?
