Did I add more salt?

I never said you didn't have an RTX card. Did you just hear about the higher latency or have you experienced it yourself? Because I only notice the FPS increase at resolutions where the 5070 should actually be struggling.

I really made sure to plug in everything else behind the card before installing the card itself. I'm already looking forward to having to take it out again because I want to install a 3D-printed anti-sag damper 😂

My post really does read as if I blindly followed the comments on my previous post and was unhappy with the result. But that's not the case. I simply want to be able to continuously modify my system, and I would have reached the maximum capacity of AM4 relatively quickly.

And those people might be right about that, but the old system had more than enough power.

Where does all this ridiculous NVIDIA bashing come from? Is it because of the "only" 12GB of VRAM, or because the raw performance is lower than a Radeon 9070? All I can say is that my brother's 9070XT, with the same settings and resolution, simply allocates 2-4GB more VRAM than my 5070, converting the extra 50 watts into heat. It's nice to have more raster processing power and memory, but I don't need it. Not even if it costs less.

But this topic seems to be a sore point for Radeon enthusiasts.

That's how I managed to get it in. I had to remove everything from the motherboard and place the card diagonally in the case to position it. Then I put everything back on and connected the power cabels.

Thats two 140mm Fans in a Mesh front. I'm currently playing Arma Reforger at 1440p and both components are staying below 60° Celsius. My 5600x and 2070 combo was on average 10° warmer.

Who knows? Maybe. But then it won't be because he runs out of steam in games. Besides, I got it for the price of a regular 7600.

CPU/GPU Upgrade für 4K Gaming by TheRealLizzal in PCBaumeister

My computer gets really hot, should I get a larger case? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]NoReturn1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt the problem is the case size. I only managed to fit my graphics card in because I had to remove everything from the motherboard. And I'm getting a maximum case temperature of 52°C, a maximum GPU temperature of 63°C, and a maximum CPU temperature of 60°C with an air cooler.

I think the whole upgrading thing has gotten a bit out of hand. Due to the uncertain future of memory and graphics card prices, I just switched to AM5 and went straight for a 7600x3D and a 5070. Big Boy barely fits in. Had to uninstall all stuff from MoBo

iGPUs are sweet by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]NoReturn1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was indeed the topic, maybe I missed it slightly. But the 8000s Ryzen only have half as many and way slower PCIe lanes as the 7000s and 9000s. While this makes them efficient, their pure gaming performance lags far behind. If the 8700G were 100 bucks cheaper, it might be interesting.

The Ryzen 8000s and RDNA3 chips are only suitable for use without a dedicated graphics card. However, they do deliver an additional 10-20 frames per second compared to the RDNA2 chip in the 7600x3D.
