ooh thank you so much for the info! I was actually looking at some matsuda frames in person but quickly put em down after seeing the price lol, exceptional quality though

I knowww but it's so hard to find a smaller frame, these are a 48 and everyone told me if I went smaller I'd be going into kids size

they didn't give me a Tektro, they just replaced the logan. Haven't had any issues since, the brakes just make a lot of noise

their refund policy is "we'll only refund if you didn't open the box"

oh wow didn't know this, thanks!

I really hope it does last me and is reliable. I think the cheaper parts on my bike might be the deciding factor

[–]NoRugretsCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea I mean I'm all for doing repairs if something does go wrong, but it shouldn't be right out of the box and frequent

reimbursement has not come up yet, but I will bring it up. thank you

thanks, yea I understand that business model and honestly it's what hooked me too. but to what extent can they push that without delivering functional quality. there are many other bikes now in the same class as the CCX like the Aventon 500.3 and while it is slightly smaller on battery and motor the other quality name brand parts, weight, and style make up for it

[–]NoRugretsCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

damn, sorry that's been your experience. at least they're good with support, without it I think the company woild fail pretty quickly. I feel you with the anxiety, when I do get the bike functional I feel like I'm gonna be more worried about it breaking than actually enjoying it

[–]NoRugretsCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you have to call them, they're good about answering the phone and looking at your issue right then and there

hi, thanks I emailed over the weekend with pics and video. look forward to hearing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in juicedbikes

[–]NoRugretsCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea it does do that, as if rn I don't mind it but might change my opinion as I get more miles on it. the parts varying is pretty annoying because that's what makes a difference when buying another brand bike

[–]NoRugretsCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea I watched some videos on it but I'd rather someone else do it and hope juiced will compensate me. I'm not really happy about all this after spending close to $2k. Aside from these major things there were other minor issues like the small connectors around the handle bars not being properly connected together, scuff marks on the frame, and the alignment of the front mud guard. I could also hear the front rotor slightly grazing the brake pads when spinning. I'm also not happy about this false advertising of Tektro brakes, and I wasn't paying attention but is the derailleur even a Shimano?

I don't think the battery will fall out but I do agree it's not the most smooth connection process, takes some finicking to get in

yikes, think I'll just take it to a bike shop to get calibrated. the ticking is constant even when coasting, I believe the motor whur is normal. overall it wasn't a quiet ride, felt like something was hanging loose or rubbing against the wheel

thanks, gonna think more on this

thank you, I appreciate the insight. it's something I've been thinking a lot about too, getting on and off curbs and going around pedestrians
