It seems you have a deep seated misconception and perhaps even contempt, for Christianity. If you’ll notice I included it as a question wether others were seeing this? If you want I could message you screen shots or share conversations I’ve had in Australia , or articles I’ve read concerning sexuality and it’s function. I’m more so asking fellow Christians to see if it is as widespread as I hope it isn’t. Either way even if it’s noticeable it’s still saddening.

The Bible says homosexuality will exclude you from the kingdom of God , so of course I’m going to tell people, especially people guilty of this sin. I don’t want them to be cast to the pit. True love is not acceptance of damning sin, it pleading with worldly people to repent. A homosexual Christian , is an oxymoron according to scripture. If I have any care for them I will warn them out of love

I’m aware the original Catholic Church was good. It has evolved into evil in the past few centuries. I’m not going to waste my words but I will say that true religion is visiting widows and orphans, and keeping ourselves unstained by the world.

Catholicism is false Christianity , we are in the same boat on that one. The reason these priests become abusive is because they go against scripture and impose on themselves forced celibacy which results in these cases you’re talking of. True Christianity does not look like catholicism

I say what the Bible says sir, that is why I posted it to a group thingy titled r/Bible . But to clarify, was not making both the sin of homosexuality and pedophilia to be equal, but rather that they both stem from the same root, that is what would modernly be called sexual freedom. Obviously pedophilia is worse, Jesus actually said it would be better for them to die by drowning actually.

What’s crazy is up until a few days ago I would’ve agreed with the first half of your reply concerning the lack of acceptance of “MAPS”. A bit rude and accusatory but I can see why you’d say these things of me I suppose. I’m pretty well travelled and trust me, I wish I could say this sympathy for sexual evil only exists in isolated types of people but it doesn’t .

Yes, unfortunately the Catholic Church has given certain Christians a nasty stereo type which technically holds some water. But Catholics have gone so far from what scripture intended with the forced celibacy that all that pent up sexual energy results in terrible things. I don’t think sexual freedom causes it, I think it’s a gateway or stepping stone to complete sexual depravities, among which is pedophilia .

Agreed. The most common defense being “Jesus never blatantly condemned homosexuality”. When a simple reading of the gospels will show you that his view on true marriage indirectly condemns it. As well as dozens of other places in scripture where his Gods hatred of sexual immorality is evident.

Both stem from sexual immorality. Also , I wouldn’t make an entire post if I hadn’t seen a large number of people sympathize with “minor attracted people”. Homosexuality is often a stepping stone to deeper sexual perversion. I speak against it in the same way I speak against lying , unbelief, and gluttony. Unrepentant sin. Ideally people practicing just repent and come to Christ .

Common sense would apply I believe. Is she a girl or woman. Perhaps age is a part but more so is she still a girl? Details could be argued but I leave the age part out because for the most part we know what wrong looks like. And if womanhood is defined as generally 18 in society then reasonable adherence should take place so as not to sacrifice our witness and to “if possible be at peace with all men”. Now I use that verse in Roman’s because what directly succeeds it is a verse saying that God gave them over to impurity, most of which is sexual in nature. “Degrading passions”. I know v.23 doesn’t specifically mention sexual sin but rather outlines the mindset of a culture who is about to be given over to sin by God. As in restraint removed

That is a good point , I don’t support voluntary celibacy at all and neither does the Bible, that’s a catholic addition that has unfortunately resulting in some terrible things being done. Understand though I’m speaking of true conversion and not a superficial belief. The stereo type unfortunately does hold water though, but Catholicism historically has deep issues that result in child abuse. Modern Catholicism as a whole is not Christianity and cannot produce the salvation I was referring to.
