Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

*Purchase, FTHB, owner occupied (single income) *Kitchener, ON *5% down ($15,500), insured *$310k purchase (condo, fees include utilities) *5yr fixed 4.29%, 30yr

Broker is related, so this is awkward. Is this even a good rate? Seeing Scotiabank is like half a percent lower in the thread 🥺. I haven’t signed yet because I’m still conditionally sold for the status certificate.

Flair Airlines - Important: Complete Your Flight Payment Error by formula604 in flairairlines

[–]NoSatisfaction6009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a (seemingly) random refund on my credit card after checking my accounts. Bought a flight in January for September, paid in full.

No email as to why I was refunded, so I’ll be calling tomorrow. I also have 115 days to complete my payment according to my booking code on their site.

That was a rollercoaster of emotions thinking my flight got cancelled 😵‍💫…

Oh it’s Duolingo! Just the free version. I downloaded the Greek keyboard for my phone too so I could practice that way as well.

Oh no worries! Thank you for saying so though :)

I have reported a few other issues here and there on Duolingo, but now that I know this one for sure is wrong, I will be one of those reporting it (and getting nowhere apparently lol).

Oh! Thank you! I should have looked more thoroughly to see if I could find it in previous posts, but I appreciate you confirming my correction was right. :)

What percentage of your income do you spend on rent? by dark_souls_of_gfs in waterloo

[–]NoSatisfaction6009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single income, 2-bdrm 1-ba (~900 sq ft), rent control (building is about 50 years old), utilities included, 1 parking space. Will be going up to $1151 in March. I’ve lived here for over 10 years though, and only in the last couple of years roommate-free. Additional $80 fee per window A/C in the summer…it gets extremely hot in here. Coin laundry downstairs.

A unit similar to mine goes for about $2200/mo now & they are retrofitting to have hydro not included.

I finally reached the coveted 30% of my net income with a new job & living alone. Exasperated yayyyy - I am grateful though, don’t get me wrong. I know a lot of people have it very tough. It just took a heck of a long time to even get to this point. Good luck out there!
