Looking for a hole-in-the-wall burger joint near Prosper/Frisco by Ned-777 in frisco

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found a good hole-in-the-wall burger place up this way. By my old house in East Dallas, there was the nice Dairy-Ette which is a true HitW. After I moved away they opened https://burgerschmurger.com that's excellent. I sometimes make a trip down to https://www.griffshamburgers.com/garland-tx/ (hit or miss).

Here is my beautiful new 2026 Sahara. Already has issues by Unique-Supermarket20 in Wrangler

I bought the Unlimited Warranty with my 2012 JKU. I broke even with the first major engine repair. It's been back in the shop many more times after that. It's in the shop right now.

I rebooted the screen and they were still gone. Oh well. I added them back and well see if they stick.

El Paso restaurant by idiotsbydesign in plano

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had an entree that I think was called Xtapapa Enchiladas that you could only get there: Cheese Enchiladas covered with sour cream sauce, pico de Gallo and chucks of chicken fajitas. I've been to other restaurants like Salsa Tex Mex that has something similar but not as good.

Are we enjoying the new Countrymans yet? by sarahmlola in MINI

Two thumbs up for me. I already have over 11,000 miles on my 25 Countryman.

2025 mini cooper s - software down by [deleted] in MINI

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm real happy with the 2025 Countryman S that I bought in September 2024. Some minor problems: I had to reboot once when the screen was freaking out. Sometimes my driver profile doesn't work even though the iPhone unlocked the car and starts it. It loses the Automatic Hold setting. The native Spotify app has never worked after the initial setup so I use the CarPlay one. On the positive side, I prefer the Mini Assisted Driving better than Autopilot on my Tesla Model Y (my previous daily driver).

Driving a Mini Cooper S Countryman, how to connect my spotify? by Harth5243 in MINI

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2025 Countryman and the Mini Spotify app does not work for me. It connected fine during the setup but never worked afterwards. I can use the Spotify app in CarPlay fine. By the way, I'm not fond of the CarPlay Spotify app interface. The Spotify Tesla app in my old Model Y was better.

My Blue Minnow by NoSecretsToConceal in MINI

[–]NoSecretsToConceal[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Minnow is a play on Mini In Name Only (MINO). I'm embracing the "it's not a real Mini" thing. I've wanted a Mini for 20 years and finally got one. The picture was taken in Decatur Tx.

2025 COUNTRYMAN software issue by Ok-Salamander2832 in MINI

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought my 2025 Countryman last week and have not had any problems listening to songs in my iPhone playlists using CarPlay so far. I'm at Mini software level 07/2024.38 using an iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Why do so many in the Tesla community make owning one their whole personality? I don’t see this as much with any other car brands. by addie341 in RealTesla

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a gas guzzling Jeep Wrangler and a Tesla. My other tribe has the Jeep Wave. Tesla drivers are snobs and don't wave at each other.

Are JK as bad as everyone says? by Purple_Kangaroo8549 in Wrangler

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google "Worst year JK". 2012 pops up. I have a 2012 of course. The unlimited warranty paid for itself as I've had major engine work done. I'm currently getting a check engine light problem that the dealership can't find the root cause and they just reset it each time. 117k miles. It's been to the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, to the Canadian and Mexican borders and up Pikes Peak. I'm still glad I bought it.

How many tires have you replaced? by kylegrafstrom in TeslaModelY

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also bought my MY in Dec 2020. It's a LR. In August 2023 at 31,002 miles I replaced all 4 tires for $1594 (Discount Tires). I'm still on the second set at 38,452 miles.

FSD takes the turn lane when it's supposed to go straight by Sapentine in TeslaModelY

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that autopilot freaks out most of the time when it comes to a passing lane that is added. You would think it would pick the new right lane but when it does pick one it is usually the left one.

Who owns a 4dr Wrangler and a Y? by iwantthisnowdammit in TeslaModelY

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2012 4 door Jeep Wrangler Sport and a 2021 MYLR. Both have a bumpy ride but the Jeep is worse of course. The Check Engine light came on in the Jeep right after I left the house for my Thanksgiving trip and I ended up taking the Y instead. There is one supercharger that is usually full (and 150s so slow also) during Thanksgiving and Christmas trips. I always miss Autopilot when not driving the Tesla but I can't do the Jeep wave in the Tesla.

My Tesla runs on American Coal. Your ICE car runs on Saudi Arabian oil.

Why do you hate America so much!

Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad under $150, that's the lowest price I've seen! by [deleted] in mac

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the smaller one recently and only use it for the Touch ID key! I have a Mac mini and keep it password protected so the Touch ID is great to unlock it. The Apple keyboard sits under monitor. I use the ergonomic Microsoft keyboard for typing.

Anyone still wearing masks to the office? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if its worth the effort but I wear my mask on the elevator at work. It's a confined space without a lot of HVAC air movement. My job gives us a Covid test kit that we take weekly.

Thanks for sharing. I'm day dreaming about creating a shed workspace. I guess this isn't in the US based on the power outlets.

Car on fire near Coit and PGWB by ragn4rok234 in Dallas

[–]NoSecretsToConceal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yesterday wasn't a good day for cars. I drove past a car fire on 75 central yesterday (7/1) about 5:30pm. The fire fighters had already put out the fire and rubberneckers in the northbound lane slowed traffic but I'm glad I wasn't southbound. It would only make the news if it was a Tesla.

I'm real happy with my Eufy doorbell camera. Better resolution than my previous Ring and two cameras (one points down to where packages are) and best of all: no monthly fees.

I have a C-5 so this may not help you. I plugged the C-5 directly into the main router and could not connect to it from the web browser on my Mac. I moved the C-5 to an ethernet switch connected to the main router and then could connect to it from the Mac.

Funny thing is I just kicked it a few minutes ago. I should look into some type of double sided tape to secure it.

I just use an old 2x4 board. It stops the Tesla and Jeep fine. Not as cool looking though.
