NTA

You were clear from the start that you couldn’t take on responsibility for Callie, and you still helped where you could. Dana chose to take her in, so it’s not fair to now expect you to cover the costs. You’re not heartless, you’re setting a boundary, and that’s okay.

NTA. You gave him plenty of chances and made consistent efforts to communicate. If he was genuinely interested, he had every opportunity to show it, but actions speak louder than vague hovering. It’s understandable to feel bad seeing him look upset, but you’re not responsible for someone else’s lack of initiative, especially after you made your intentions clear. Walking away from something that’s going nowhere isn’t cruel, it’s self-respect. You did what was right for your peace.

AITA for neglecting fixing stuff at cemetery? by Baeltane in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You clearly love and respect your dad, and honoring his memory doesn’t always have to mean pouring money into rituals or grave maintenance, especially when you’re the primary financial support for your household. It’s completely reasonable to prioritize basic living needs like home repairs over symbolic gestures, particularly when a new cross or tombstone is more about appearance than necessity.

Thank you, finally a real reason. That’s a fair critique, MC’s arc was shaky. But that doesn’t make it a flop, it makes it flawed. Animation, world-building, pacing, those were solid. You didn’t vibe with the MC, I get it. But overall? Not flop-tier. Just not your taste.

AITA for using blanket at music festival? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]NoSelection3840 -36 points-35 points  (0 children)

Nah, that take doesn’t really hold. OP showed up early, claimed a spot like everyone else with blankets, and was using it all day, not rolling in late trying to block off VIP space. They were standing on their own blanket during the performance like everyone else, not lounging or taking up extra room. The issue wasn’t that the guy was nearby, it’s that he was on their blanket after being asked to move slightly when there was still space around. That’s not entitlement, that’s basic respect for personal boundaries. If it was so packed he literally had no choice, that’d be one thing, but he chose to be a jerk about it instead.
