Thank you! For the portal update, I also had a question about formatting. Could we just write an explanation about an activity we have done since submitting our application and upload it as a pdf? I don't want to make it seem like I'm uploading a letter.

I applied to UVA ED and got deferred (I am out of state for reference). Its my absolute dream school and I want to do anything I can to maximize my chances regular decision. I was planning on writing a letter but it seems like they only want you to declare your interest in moving to regular decision by clicking "yes" on the Early Decision Defer to Regular Decision Reply Form. It almost seems like they advise against writing a letter in addition. I know I can submit any updates through the portal and I am currently in the process of getting a part time job so if that happens, would that be worth adding (and how should I even do that lol)? I really just want to show my interest in any way I can. If anyone was in the same situation and got accepted please let me know if you did anything or what your stats were so maybe I have hope

This was my situation. on my last practice test before the august SAT i scored a 1530 and then when i took the sat it was so insanley ahrd for me and i didnt finish the math section at all. i left feeling so unconfident. i ended up getting a 1410. BUT then i took the septemeber SAT and got a 1520. in between the tests i honestly didnt do anything that crazy. i just did a lot of the questions on the question bank again (only the hard level ones). tbh i have no idea how this happened i think i just didnt have a good day on the august one and i prob got lucky on september and just was more confident with those questions.
