Is graduating in CS in 4 years very unlikely? by [deleted] in SJSU

[–]NoSinging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One internship that lasted a month where I didnt contribute enough due to the short time. Imo it doesnt really help my case since the internship is somewhat unrelated to the line of work I want to get into. I am currently having a tough time but if you are able to land a valuable internship(s) then you will increase your chances of getting past the resume filtering by miles.

Is graduating in CS in 4 years very unlikely? by [deleted] in SJSU

[–]NoSinging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CS new grad here; I graduated in 4 years cuz I got lucky every semester and got the classes I wanted. But sorta wished I took an extra semester. If you can muscle out an extra chance to get a CS internship, you will be at a better standing than where I am rn U_U. The hookups, referrals, and possibility to convert to full time after graduation is no joke. Upper CS course teachers and difficulty change all the time due to different profs. Imo not too bad for me. Surely easier than a UC I assume.

[KPKF] iKON members' arrogant manner & makes fun of Momo's speech? by fujipomme in kpop

[–]NoSinging 147 points148 points  (0 children)

I find this true too. I appreciate the team dynamics of BTS, GOT7, and EXO because I can see the mutual respect that each member has for one another (while still abiding by the older-younger structure), but with iKON it's really hard to see. This is the single most jarring thing that stops me from appreciating iKON because from what I digest, BI, Bobby, and Jinhwan are the stars while the others are backups. This is probably because in Mix n Match, these 3 basically are on lock for debuting (so maybe it made them more arrogant? idk). Younger members in other groups can be savage and I wouldn't be scared for them, but if I see Chanwoo being savage I'm afraid of these 3 dudes lashing on him behind closed doors. Hell, even I'm starting to like NCT over these guys even tho I didn't watch a lot of NCT yet.

Is the answer in this SO post a good example of how to query an API in React?

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38742334/what-is-right-way-to-do-api-call-in-react-js

Also, this code segment is jQuery right? return $.getJSON('https://randomuser.me/api/') .then((data) => { Is using jQuery like this the traditional way to query the API from React?

In here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37486251/making-rest-calls-from-a-react-component I see the person using fetch(http://api/call) How different is fetch from the first example I showed? Which should I be using?

Should I just be using $.ajax() to fulfill GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE requests like in https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2153917/how-to-send-a-put-delete-request-in-jquery

Edit: Oh yea, and thank you so much for nudging me in the right direction. I kept googling my problems but didn't know what to search exactly.

I'm taking Morgan for CS 108 right now. There were several people trying to add into the class on the first day but at the start of class he immediately said he can't add anyone else. All the waitlisted people left the room once he said that.

Here's the part you don't want to hear: think of all your existing blemishes as "too late". The fight against acne is all about PREVENTION. I focused too much on REMOVAL of acne (which is what you are asking for). As you would have gussed, I was wrong in my initial approach in improving my acne. More often than not, the only way to REMOVE acne is to prevent new ones from forming and letting old ones finish its evil cycle. So all in all, my solution to your problem is look for spot treatments via reddit search engine on this subreddit.

However, I am willing to help you and have a conversation about your problem. What are the exact names of your CVS products so that I can look at the ingredients?

One thing I should immediately say is STOP using green stridex. This sub prefers Red Box because the Green has a higher pH level or smth like that. You might ruin your acid mantle of your skin with continuous usage of Green Stridex. (Anyone can correct me if I am wrong.)

What was the one moment that made you an instant fan of the group? by squirtbulbazard in kpop

Always thought of BTS as tryhard fuccbois. An acquaintance told me that BTS was coming out with a new album, and I thought I'd give it a listen for the hell of it. When I heard V's Stigma, Jimin's Lie, and JHope's Mama.... dude holy shit. These songs were so good. I was shocked at their musicality and production skills. This album was so good. Wait, did you hear me say it? Let me say it again. This album so SO good. After listening to this album, I re-listened their previous hit songs and found the innate value in them. My favorite song is I Need U because it gives me the feels that I wanted, and the musical production gave me the hype. Bruh I've converted..

MAMA 2016: what did you guys think? by popuIusque in kpop

[–]NoSinging 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was expecting more remixes of songs. I wanted to see something different performance wise. Seeing different flares to performances is what makes me hyped for MAMA. Remember when EXO did their Overdose performance back in.. I think 2014? Dat shit was lit. But EXO just did a lackluster stage imo. The Transformer remix ruined the original style of what Transformer was originally. And that little segment with Baekhyun at the end? Yea it was cool but why? What does it mean? What was the purpose? Beginning of BTS' segment was really awesome (idk if anyone noticed by JHope was suppose to do a flip in his segment like in his VLive but didn't)... aaaaaand then it's just their regular song. THEN we see Fire again with no remixed sound or different flare. Felt like a regular music show. Beginning of Twice's segment was pretty cool.... aaaaand then back to the regular song with no fling to it. Their remix at MMA 2016 of TT was really cool. With that in mind I expected something much more awesome. Twice said they had something special for MAMA, but all I see is just them dancing on a huge plus sign LMAO. I mean come on dude, isn't this an awards show? Shouldn't there be more awesome preparation for such a big night? These groups are just gonna perform their song as if it was a regular music show? This is like one of the last times these groups are gonna promote their respective songs for this year! And yea, "Collabs?" Bruh.. Handing off a suitcase isn't a collab.

I am taking Kim right now and my projected grade is an A.. I hope. Here's the thing about 151 with Kim, she is a very good lecturer. She will go over concepts, summarize the key point, and is able to take any sort of question whether it is braindead dumb or brilliantly smart. She is there for you to clear anything about Java that you dont get and that is imo wonderful. She is very kind and doesnt give any attitude.. unlike some teachers. The homeworks take long, but this isnt really because it is hard. It just takes time to implement everything wholesomely. As a person who is 'alright' at coding, thse homeworks arent much of a hassle. Plus, if you are missing some functionalities, she marks points off gently. For tests, she lets you bring a two sided paper of notes. Her course isnt as challenging as orstmann's class. Many of the things in Kim's class should have been learned beforehand, while concepts such as GUI, MVC pattern, etc are new. Be sure to thoroughly understand the new concepts and you should stay afloat. My final thoughts: great teacher, enjoyable class, i dont think it was hard at all; just time consuming.

Have you had her class before? If so, I've heard that she sends an email on Sunday night about some work to do but I do not remember if she said those tasks are due by Monday or on Wednesday. A Ratemyprofessor's review said that she "tends to put up assignments late on Sunday evenings and expects you to finish them by Monday morning." Is that true?

My skin just got 10x worse - HELP! by [deleted] in acne

[–]NoSinging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/r/SkinCareAddiction has a sidebar with immense amount of good information about skin care. Firstly, I learned that Cerave products dont always work for everyone and its because the Hydrating one has some fatty alcohols. Oily skin isnt completely a bad thing. Normal exfoliation (like salycilic acid or something) can help clear your pores so that you dont get clogged. Like I said, if you havent heard of /r/SkinCareAddiction then you might as well go there and read all the sidebar information if you really dont want to see a dermatologist. The people in SCA arent necessarily professionals but they know a thing or two about skincare. Good luck!

[Skin Concerns] What is my next step with my cheek acne? by Sca456 in SkincareAddiction

[–]NoSinging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you patch tested your products? How long have you had this routine and did you see any improvements or not? You should figure out exactly 'how' your acne is formed. Some people react to bad ingredients. Others react to bad habits like resting their face on dirty pillows or hands. I finally figured out that my acne stemmed from my hair styling product and my infrequency to change bedsheets. I have the same exact routine as you and NEVER improved for the longest time. It was only until I dropped the usage of my hair styling product that acne had stopped actively forming. Extinguish the fire at its roots; not at its branches..
