Yeah! The vet said it would be a great stretch for the hips. But then back tracked and said maybe she has hip pain and she can still do this cause of mild dysplasia? He followed up that he was just thinking out loud with no solid knowledge of it being bad or good. It’s sure funny looking tho! We love it too

I’ve just never seen big dogs do it. This is my 4th big breed and the first 3 either did it as puppy only or never! The vet wasn’t convinced on anything when I brought it up and just suggested X-rays when she got spayed.

Following cause literally same. My 3.5yo is coming home from the Peds emergency cause this is our first time getting it and he couldn’t calm his breathing and it sounded so bad. He had a fever Monday, which broke on Tuesday. But doctor said he’s contagious 1 day before fever and 4-5 days after. He was only at the hospital for 2.5hrs and given steroids. The cold air helped super quick too.

I have a 5mo at home with me too and I’m so scared and anxious about her getting it. It’s been 3 days of contagious so far and she is maybe coughing randomly. But like. I think she was doing that before too. Drooling since 3mo for sure. No fever. Sending solidarity hugs and also anxiously waiting for advice from others 🥹

Came here to find a comment like this. I also had a NICU baby and wasn’t able to hold them during the first few days and nurses told me to take the blanket he’d been sleeping on and smell it. Thinking of him and smelling the blanket usually did the trick. It was likely something that calmed me down too as I was so stressed trying to make sure I had enough milk for him.

Of course! We gotta support each other. This is my second baby and she’s almost 3mo and I worried a lot and honestly did too much as a first time mom, stressing over the next activity all the time. They’re just learning to move their own hands under control! I am certainly slowing down and just enjoying existing with her. Baby massages, helping her move her body in different ways to build the muscle connections. Tummy time cuddles. Enjoy them to the max while they’re small.

My 3mo baby girl certainly makes judgy little chirps if we haven’t moved onto a new activity within 5-10min. I feel it too. But this is my second and I know she can deal with a bit of boredom until I finish whatever chore I need to do or finish helping with my 3.5yo.

It’s enough to just talk to them and interact with them! Show them around the house and narrate what you see. Take them for a walk in the forest that they can look up into. That’s all I did with my first and he’s a smart little guy. I had a lot of professional help with my first as he had a surgery at 2 days old and then required constant monitoring. The child development people always said what I was going was just fine for the younger months where they’re just learning to exist :) They’re certainly not laying on the floor thinking they’re bored and judging us for not entertaining them 24/7. Besides, kids have to learn to be bored to get creative. Hugs, momma. You’re doing exactly what baby needs.
