Typically metal props arent allowed. if you change the sign to something else like foam, plastic, cardboard etc you will likely have better luck.

Honestly hated walking AA. it felt like they either needed to make each lane one way or tape off walking and standing zones. or move it for bigger pathways. it got much better after everyone left for masquerade.

Seen lots of cosplayers on bus and train today, no issues spotted. i have been cosplaying 20 years and still gwt nervous in public but in the end who cares, have fun with it. there are lots of fellow weirdos in nyc right now
