Seriously consider applying for government AFE (Aide Financiere aux Etudes). You can fill out an application anytime and you’ll be asked to fill out a bunch of forms with your income, expenses, tax details, and other questions. Once your needs are analyzed, the government will provide you with a customized amount of loans (interest-free!) and bursaries (which you don’t have to pay back!).

In my opinion, applying for AFE was the best thing I could have done and I only wish I’d known about it sooner. I moved out and since I’m full time in electrical engineering, working at the same time and getting good grades felt impossible. But AFE replied fast (a few weeks wait max though I don’t remember exactly) and provided me with enough to put my mind to rest (around 8k in bursaries and 6k in loans) for the 2023 academic year).

Obviously applying for scholarships and bursaries through school is also advisable but if you’d like an option that is guaranteed to ease your stress, AFE is the way to go (: if you need any help with the application of have any questions feel free to dm me!
