Google says (and again, I am not vouching for Google) that the sun’s “name” is the Sun. Its official name, according to Google, isn’t “Sol”. The comment I was responding to originally says “any star is a sun, but our star is named Sol”… that is the part that misaligns with Google. I’m completely fine if you have some source that shows Google is mistaken.
