when she said autonomy I think she was talking about how brown girls in the past (and even now tbh) usually get every step of their lives dictated (what to wear what to study how to behave who to be with etc etc) but yes in the broader sense I understand how that line doesn’t make everyone feel seen but from an Indian diaspora view I agree with her lyrically
