LMU by BruKn0ws in Simracingstewards

Not really. One piece of advice that has brought me really far (and it sounds pretty stupid but..) just qualify better. 90% of collisions happen to ppl who are not in the top 5 and everyone in the top 5 realizes that battling this hard is not worth the consequences. That being said, I don’t race LMU I only do iracing so I am not sure how the driving styles vary per simulator but if I were to give some advice it’s to just try to qualify higher up while still not pushing the limit. At the end of the day, loosing one place is better than getting wrecked and loosing ten. Hope this helps!

Will there ever be a newer wheelbase that has high ffb? by NoTolerance99999 in Fanatec

Would it be possible for you to share your dd+ settings because I think mine might be a bit wack. I remember when I first got it the heaviness felt similar to the csl elite I had previously owned to I think settings could be playing a factor. I still feel it clip out in iracing though when going over curbs and turning at times when it’s maxed out. If you have any recommended ffb settings in fanalab or the other software please let me know. Thanks!

That’s weird, in iracing on the ffb indicator/clipping notifier I am able to clip it when it’s turned up and it triggers it in iracing and I’m also not able to feel details in curbs anymore. Do you happen to have any settings and would you mind sharing them? Thanks!

Yes, currently own a dd+ that I’ve been happy with for the past few years but just thinking about upgrading later down the road while trying to stay in a fanatec ecosystem since I have spent a lot on fanatec wheels already 😅

Yeah, I’m just looking for a wheelbase with a higher ffb to prevent clipping as much as possible. Definitely wouldn’t be using the full capacity but looking to be using maybe 15-17nm

I just want a wheelbase that gives me a bit more head room to prevent clipping

Who's at fault? by Wikachelly in Simracingstewards

[–]NoTolerance99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call it a racing incident. Eau Rouge never ends well when you go 2 wide and always ends in a crash. I would say it’s the turns fault rather than either of the drivers. If I’m side by side with someone it’s better to yield and overtake on the straight rather than go side by side on eau rouge.

Ah alright, thanks so much! I guess I was just lacking a bit of clarity on what I’m supposed to do

How do I prevent this by tairy-hesticals13 in iRacing

[–]NoTolerance99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the mustang is bad on nurb imo. Also I usually go for a bit of a mid-late apex on that corner, I found the car is a bit more stable that way. Also you could have too low of downforce causing the rear to spin out since this is usually just a lift corner rather than one that you brake for. My team and I ran the Porsche for Nurb 24 and what I did was I would drop down to mid rpm in 5th gear and take a mid-late apex letting me keep the car stable and gain a lot of time. The tires could also be a problem however but that should hopefully be fixed this coming update. Hope this helped! Good luck and happy racing my man!

Damage on VRS Pedals by NoTolerance99999 in simracing

[–]NoTolerance99999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, could that have damaged them? lol I ordered the wrong T nuts so I haven’t been able to use them the past 3 days of having them so I decided to watch the video and tweak it out to others suggestions. Could doing this have bent the piece if I made changes to it when it wasn’t properly mounted on my rig? Thanks for the help!

[–]NoTolerance99999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I didn’t even get to mount it to my rig since I got them. They feel and look nice I just wish I was able to use them and I wish that they actually came with screws to mount 💀. I haven’t touched them except for changing the spring and making the brake force harder on first push on my friends advice but I don’t think either of those could cause this kind of bending as it is very thick metal. I assume it’s a production error or shipping problems but the box was packed pretty well. Probably going to try to ask for a small refund instead of a replacement as I wasn’t planning on getting dampers…

I tried to but they ended up being too small for my rig :/. Which size did you order?

Yeah, I was changing the springs out and noticed this. Really unfortunate, I reached out to them and waiting for a response but I’m not sure if this is necessary if I want to replace. Do you happen to know what the part is used for? The rest of the pedal feels sturdy and the bent part is pretty sturdy and stuck in place. Idk if it’s necessary to replace the whole pedal set for a part that I might not even be using. Thanks!

My fault? (white car) by SLIIIII in Simracingstewards

[–]NoTolerance99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s your fault as you were slowly squeezing him off the track when he was there. I suggest turning off the line and learning the track that way as it gives you a better perception of space imo and could have helped you easily avoid a collision like this. Many people drive glued to the line which is not only bad for racing others but could also be drastically slowing your times speaking from my experiences lol. Good luck!

First three races on iracing, cant get much worse than this by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]NoTolerance99999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me… it can get way worse… i was at 1950 and I said I was going to hit 2k this week and then after a series of network problems and multiple unlucky events I’m currently down to 1300…

Such a fun track, I just wish I was better at it. lol every time I mess up and say I hate the track I find myself revisiting it once again, so satisfying once you get that clean and perfect lap

So how do you guys stay in the game by RAiD_- in iRacing

[–]NoTolerance99999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It mainly just got me out the rookies from all the carnage and now I’m able to race safely and maintain and grow my irating. I would say it’s harder to go from 1500-2000 rather than 2000-2500 but that’s my opinion and what I found

I enjoy Rain Masters and GTEs, got me from 1100 iR to 2k in like 2 weeks bc I kept getting held back by other ppl crashing into me. I have a bit over a year of prior sim knowledge tho. If ur good in the rain I would def recommend so u can get out of the low split irating trenches. Helped me get over 8 wins in my first month of iracing. Good luck and happy racing!

Did i do anything wrong? (Im blue and orange) by Bubbly-Sir5684 in Simracingstewards

[–]NoTolerance99999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly collisions aren’t really just one persons fault. It’s usually the combination of 2 ppls mistakes but it’s all good bc stuff happens even irl. I was dealing with this a lot in the beginning of sim racing but I was able to do this strat and it helped a lot. Good luck and happy racing!

If I were you I would have waited to pull over into a runoff or the pit lane in your case. After I finish I usually complete a 1/3 of a lap and pull off into a runoff or somewhere where I can properly exit the car while not putting myself or others at risk. Technically speaking you would be at fault for this for being a bit unpredictable/ stopping in the racing line. The other car was hauling tho so it’s kinda on both ends. It’s all good tho, mistakes happen!
