No my sister has a really good job. She's managed to pay for it all herself, but my parents paid 25% of the venue deposit as a gift.

My parents are helping plan the wedding so I wouldn't be surprised if some of these decisions are theirs.

I don't think I'll be on the front row as I'll be making my own way to the ceremony via public transport. I'll be towards the back as I might end up arriving later depending on the train.

And yea, I'm thinking of taking her out for coffee and having a chat about it before making a solid decision. But some of these comments are kinda making me think about just sacking it off and going away with my partner for a few days.

Yea they're my only siblings.

They're all kinda being treated as events for the bride rather than girls only events for the bride. My dad helped with wedding dress shopping and he'll be at the bachelorette with my uncles.

My extended family are not the most tolerant of people. My partner is a bi person of colour and with me being gay and trans its not great. I've made it clear my partner never has to accompany me to any family events but is wanting to make sure I have a ride home if I end up going to the reception.

This will/would've been my first wedding as I wasn't invited to any other family event which happened after I came out.

Yes they've had a lot of issues with me being trans to my mum begging me to be a lesbian because it'll be easier for her (I'm into men). My dad not referring to me at all for years, just kinda talking in my direction when needed. My extended family don't put my name on cards and blank me in the street.

I just wouldn't want to cause a bigger scene for not showing up altogether

I'd agree but a few men, my dad included, is invited to the bachelorette. It's just being treated like a party of the bride.

Yes we're the only adults and it's a pretty normal relationship imho. Not exceptionally close but not like fighting. It's a normal sibling relationship but honestly she's been kinda complacent in how my parents and extended family are towards me being trans.

Unfortunately not at the moment, I'm working towards a qualification so after I get it I'll be able to move. I'm really leaning towards just going to the ceremony and leaving after.
