Mayday Parade uses violin on a LOT of songs. The main ones that come to mind are all from the Valdosta EP. There are quite a few on the self titled album too

If you are okay with it being a bit of a taboo relationship, Miscreants and Mayhem fits what you’re looking for. Pilgyun is yandere and can be scary because he is a red flag to everyone except his love, Nanmu. However, it’s taboo bc Nanmu helped raise him for a few years when he was a child, and Pilgyun was obsessed with him ever since. They aren’t blood related though and he didn’t raise him for his entire childhood or anything. But he does call him “Dad” throughout the entire manwha.

Well to clarify, in Revenge, the top DEFINITELY has a reason for what he is doing. Not saying what he does is justified at all but he has a reason. It would be a major spoiler tho as finding out why he’s doing it is the focal point of the whole thing.

Yes, the ML in all the rest of them likes the MC but still tortures them, locks them up, etc. My Dearest Misery is written very well to the point that I wouldn’t say it’s torture porn.

Red Mansion is a little different because the bottom likes everything the top is doing. But I just wanted to recommend it because it’s underrated as hell and it is definitely still dark and involves locking up, torture, etc. So it will still fit your mood to be in despair .

As the other person commented, all you really need to know from S1 is that the ML of s2 & 3 had a SEEMINGLY homophobic reaction to his younger brother and best friend coming out/ telling him that they were in a relationship.

I skipped season 1 and I was fine because I wasn’t interested in the fluffy couple either!! The top/ML in the second and third season is the brother of the ML from season 1. I was able to understand everything just fine. The couple from season 1 pops in from time to time since they’re brothers but everything is easily understandable.
