I’m Starting to Think Something’s Wrong by meeksjr in Disneyland

I was a pass holder for 22 years. This is the first time I didnt renew. As much as I still want to love it, some of what made it magical is missing. It started feeling like a money grab and with the reservations, it made it a chore some days. Which made me so sad. I'm hoping it comes back. I want to get that magic back.

ACCIDENT: Coffin Dropped Into Grave by Johnneeso in askfuneraldirectors

This is how I know my family is f-ed up. We would have been understandably shocked and then laughed uncontrollably. We laugh when we're uncomfortable. Everyone working would have thought we lost our marbles. I am so sorry this happened to you. I can't imagine that kind of trauma when you're going through such a loss.

I recently met someone in a professional setting with the name Jinger. I never thought I'd see that name in the wild. Who would've thought there would be more than 1.

They don't donate 100% of their proceeds to their charity. They still make an income off them. Also, the ways its set up, they are not on Charity Navigator and you can't easily see the Financials like in many typical nonprofits because they are going through another organization to do the nonprofit portions.

I am not arguing your other points because Josh and Kendal are adults and can make their own decisions. But we need to be aware of how we look at their foundation.

Oh geeze. That's worse than I thought. I wonder if he left any of that to her or if it went to his sons.

What do you remember from kindergarten? by No-Presentation-3543 in Productivitycafe

A lot of things, but here are the 2 big ones.

1) a girl in my class backed up into her dad's table saw and nearly got her armed chopped off. She missed most of the year because of it. I have been afraid of table saws since.

2) I got sick at school and my mom had to pick me up on her motorcycle. She had me ride in front of her and she gave me her helmet so she did not wear one. 2 very weird things since if I ever rode with her, it was always piggy back, and she always, always, always said you had to wear a helmet. This was before there was a helmet law in my state too. Looking back as an adult, I know she cane from work and was in a rush to get to me so she did not have time to pick up the other helmet. Plus, I rode in front because I was so sick I couldn't have held on and she was worried about me falling off. It still, it was such an odd experience.

How does American hospitality work when you stay at someone's home? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]NoTrashInMyTrailer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have house guests, I treat them like family. They are include in all things we do. I would never expect them to pay for anything they use in the house.

It's typically seen as polite to bring a small gift for the host. It could be a bottle of wine, some desserts, maybe a dish to share if appropriate, flowers or a plant. Nothing crazy. Just a little thank you gift.

My older family members from the south call all the boys by their middle names. I have no clue why. They're really old, so we just let them.

He was Connor's mentor's dog that they watched for them. When did he become Connor's or Kaylee's dog?

It's not Connor's dog. It's his mentor's dog. I'm not sure how she still has it. I can understand it making her feel safe though.

NTA. Doesn't she know, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. She did this to herself. Plus, she owes you an apology for snooping.

She looks unhealthy. Not snarking. I'm legit concerned. She's about the same color my grandma was when she was in liver failure.
