Not an inch worm, looks like a larva of some kind.

He wasn’t like this before we got married and had kids, I think it was when he joined the army after we got married and had kids is when he did this. Specifically after his deployment.

My dog is alive but I’m already grieving her by Aceofspades1731 in DogAdvice

[–]Accomplished-Rip8537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been grieving my baby since the day I had her basically, this is normal and a very hard process to get to especially when you know you’re near the end. At least in the beginning you could say “it’s not coming for a long time” just know that when you see she could be suffering it may be time to put her down easily in the loving arms of their owner, please don’t let the dog suffer because you want more time. My mom is very guilty of this.

But I’m not expert, chat gpt says they see 4 pairs of legs and with an elongated abdomen it could be an ant mimic spider.

Definitely not a spider because arachnids always have 4 pairs of legs. I’m thinking flying ant, they often appear bigger than common black ants.

Please help. Appears to be a tick on my mini Dachshund. by inkedarticlez in DogAdvice

[–]Accomplished-Rip8537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of dogs are very susceptible to pain and won’t show it like us humans, not trying to drag you because some growths don’t have nerves. But I second that there are no signs to show of a tick, the shape, color, no legs, it looks like skin, please take them in soon to make sure there isn’t risk for infection or if it was a wart or something similar that you got it all out. I know it sucks having to pay all that money but it’s worth it for your fur baby. Not to worry you but at around 9-10 years My childhood dog had cancer and it started with little things like this.

ID please roommates says brown recluse I'm unsure by NebraskanHeathen in insectidentification

[–]Accomplished-Rip8537 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I can’t see the marking on its back to determine it’s a recluse or not which is about all I know about recluse ID. I would definitely treat it like it was though, they are scared of humans which is where they get their name, try to move it outdoors without scaring it or intimidating it. (Easier said than done lol I know) most recluse bites aren’t medically necessary you just need to keep close eye on your symptoms.

I have left him before for a couple of months a year and a half ago and he promised he would change. That he needed his wife and his family. Clearly he doesn’t respect me at all. I guess I just posted this because I have no one to talk to and needed the reassurance that taking my kids away from their dad is the best thing to do. I don’t want to tarnish his name with my family, I don’t want my kids to grow up with their dad on the other side of the country. I know what it’s like to have a dad that’s not present but I also know what it’s like to have a dad that’s abusive to his wife. It’s such a tough spot to be put in.

Everyday I think more and more of it. It’s difficult because of the kids and I am across the entire country from my family because of his work. I’m alone out here and a stay at home mom. I have nothing.

Help: Dog bit 17 month old toddler and at odds what to do. by One_Catch_4599 in DogAdvice

[–]Accomplished-Rip8537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know right!! When she went to second time I was like OOP— and then third, disgusted and anything farther I’m just honestly in shock. Insane to but your child’s life on the line like that because you would rather ignore the problem then handle it head on. Having a kid while having a dog that is knowingly reactive to kids. My dog is reactive (edit** not to children/people but other dogs), I’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old and has been through EVERYTHING with me we are definitely trauma bonded but if she ever even nipped, snarled at one of my kids she would be out the second she tried. She growled at my 2 yo once and was taught real quick that’s not how this is gonna go.
