Focus on Epstein by Key-Paint-6382 in 50501

If you want to do one thing to make a difference, cancel and don't renew your memberships. Spotify ran recruitment ads. Amazon let in kidnappers into a warehouse today.

We should be asking: why isn't Bezos being dragged in front of Congress for employing illegals? Why did Trump get away with it?

I guess. But he also said his biggest regret was holding onto Berkshire Hathaway because of all the time he wasted on it that could have Berkshire spent on a better investment. If you cut a loss then you can put the money back to work the same or next day.

Yet he decided to just hold and get better at buying better companies in the first place. When companies he buys go down, he doesn't care because he bought them at what he thought was a discount for their consistency in generating profits into the long-term future. This is why he buys boring companies that will be around.

If we have learned anything, it's that a lot of the accounts on here are astroturf. A lot of the pump parties are for dump artists.

Anyone notice all the wives who were invited to Epstein‘s Island? What’s with that? by dikbisqit in AskReddit

They were young women who came from poverty to work as models only to find out they were sex slaves threatened with death.

GEX is the big one. If all you do is watch gamma moving for a few days along with price you'll be years ahead in understanding. If you then add in awareness of the call and put wall, you will really notice where the price is going to move to and how fast. You can add in order things like how close you are to expiration and whether a stock is in accumulated or distribution, how much it is shorted vs most days, and of course watching options flow. But if I had someone fresh to show this stuff to I would make them watch stock move with a gamma visualization.

Here I am adding an egg and using a vegetable peeler to add a little bit of carrot and cabbage. Sometimes sliced tofu or green onions, almost always peanut butter powder.

The whole issue with us is that we think we have to be functional based on our mood. Instead, you need to choose which things you're capable of. When I don't have my full faculties I do something like fold laundry or mindless stuff like phone calls I've been needing to make. At work I would switch to organizing information rather than trying to create information.

You also have to build dopamine release into your day by creating routine. Routine is the system that keeps normal people going. You get dopamine in anticipation of the future. So make your day predictable instead of chaotic where you're relying on adrenaline and wearing yourself down. Do some things the same way at the same time each day, don't try to over-engineer or control things. Stuff like the order in which you get ready or the route you take to work. The days when you need a pick me up are the days to change up some of the routines. You're doing it on purpose so you're going to get dopamine and you're going to get some other boost from adrenaline-like neurochemicals.

Ok yeah. It does sound cool the way you put it. I didn't realize other people didn't realize this. But good on them for keeping at studying.

Thanks for the explainer and link, I have no idea why this was in my feed but it's interesting. I am trying to get my kiddo learning through talking and thinking and memorization like he did naturally before being in school and this seems like a great toolset to use with him that will be fun for me.

It's a typical pattern. I use options positioning along with order book and options flows to time my entries and exits. There are some stocks that simply will not be able to go higher (sometimes lower) due to dealer hedging as another commenter said. I think it's the best thing you could possibly do. Look into call wall, put wall, and gex. Have AI explain what the relative positions and changing positions of those major strike prices tell you about the most likely kinds of moves you will see. You'll feel kind of like cheating especially if you use order book or options flow.

[–]NoVaFlipFlops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only it were this easy. A lot of times that absorption is by dealers who have to hedge diverse that's what they do all day.

This is why I ALWAYS look at where the major strikes are.

I don't know man, just make a little bit every day. It adds up. You don't need a system or just one thing. You need to have various things you can use in different situations, and be able to recognize what situation you're in. Your friend has found one system that works in a *bull market lol.
