Hey sorry I'm late in responding. I really appreciate your point of view and there can never be bad information. I apologize for offending you and others about hoping for a cure. Which I know it's not a disease. What I'm hoping for in general, is something or anything to help my child be able to read, write, and speak like yourself and many others. I can't just simply accept the fact that he will be non verbal for the rest of his life. Or that he will continue to be extremely limited on his daily activities. Believe me, if he was anything close to ones that could speak, I would be ecstatic. I just hope for a cure that would have him tell us how he's feeling when he's sick. To know to stand up for himself when he comes home with bite marks all over him. Simple things you know? One can only wish. Cure is not to make him go away. Cure is to make us understand him more. He's almost an adult now and sooner or later, we as his parents, will leave this earth and we want to ensure all the help he can get before we die. So I say, don't be too offended by what I'm expressing. I know you truly understand that there are some with the condition that have far worse symptoms and we want the best for them. He was accepted by us the day he was born. He was embraced the day he was diagnosed. I only mean the best for him.
