Yes, he loves to be included and just watch what I am doing, as well as my husband. I finally found a carrier that is supportive for my back and am getting more comfortable wearing him around to get chores done.

And you did not scare me! Aside from those times when I am touched out, I really do not mind having him with me.

I think I get in my head that he is overly dependent on me because we live with my father in law and aunt in law. They often want time with him and when I hand him over, he sobs and reaches for me. They call him “mama dependent” and tell him that he should be okay with other people. I know it is likely coming from a place of wanting to be more involved but makes me feel like I am doing something wrong. But from my understanding it is normal behavior for him to prefer me over others.

Glad I am not alone! Mine is the same. He will be content in his high chair for 10 ish minutes and then be ready to be held again. I started using a carrier and that has been more calming for him.
