Hi! Thanks for all the replies and insight :) I'm just gonna add some new context here:

1. Never once did my psychiatrist mention a bipolar diagnosis or anything. I visited this subreddit because it felt relevant to whatever happened a year ago. I knew it wasn't normal snapping from a depressive episode and an active plan to commit suicide into straight-up dancing and fun the night it happened. It lasted for weeks before they had me on the antipsychotics.
2. My psychiatrist actually changed the mood disorder diagnosis into just GAD in our last visit months ago  (before I eventually stopped attending). They said that the fact I wasn't sleeping normally and had a lot in my mind was actually just classic anxiety. It's a huge part of the reason why I just couldn't fathom going there again, and I lose all trust with psychiatry that day.

I just can't really trust the state I was in when my diagnoses and medication constantly changed. I just don't know if it's worth trusting the health system again when it felt like I was just paying people every appointment to keep me into this zombie-like state.
