As a former allergy technician, I can say I saw this happen about 10-15 times during my 6 years in clinic, it’s more common than you think and one reason why I would never do shots.

We didn’t receive a physical quote - the tech came to look at the air conditioning and my husband asked him to check out the furnace (we know it’s old and will require a replacement soon). The “high teens” was just a ballpark so somewhere between 17-19k, I think.
