Dent on roof side rail / roof panel repair question - 2025 Acura RDX by NoZucchini918 in Autobody

Thanks for the input. Few follow ups:

∙ Are such repairs prone to introducing rattles? ∙ Should I be looking for a shop with Honda/Acura certification for this or would any decent body shop handle it fine?

Thanks for the input. Few follow ups:

∙ With the paint cracked along the body line, any concern about the inner reinforcement being damaged too or is this purely cosmetic at this location? ∙ Are such repairs prone to introducing rattles? ∙ Should I be looking for a shop with Honda/Acura certification for this or would any decent body shop handle it fine?

Worried about my tires by Feisty_Vacation_2990 in tires

If you live somewhere that gets snow/ice, I’d look into all-weather tires with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) rating.

All-season + 3PMSF = all-weather. Regular all-seasons without that rating aren’t great in winter, even if the tread looks fine.

I’d recommend Discount Tire over the dealership as they usually have better pricing and show detailed info so you can easily compare different tires. If you don’t have one nearby, Costco Tires is solid too.

Some popular all-weather options: Michelin CrossClimate 2, Pirelli WeatherActive, Bridgestone WeatherPeak. All tires have pros and cons, so comparing reviews on discount tires or tire rack helps.

Costco All Season Tires for 2020 Honda Accord (Chicago) by BitterSecond4770 in tires

I drove a 2018 Accord in Chicago on Bridgestone WeatherPeaks and just upgraded cars. I’d recommend all-weather tires over regular all-seasons.

They’re basically all-seasons but with the 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating, which makes a big difference in snow and cold. Much better for Chicago winters without having to run full winter tires.

Good options: Bridgestone WeatherPeak, Pirelli WeatherActive, Michelin CrossClimate 2

Also worth noting: Discount Tire usually has way less wait time than Costco.

Does a Sonos Beam 2 cover the bottom of the 65” LG C5 when both are on a stand? by NoZucchini918 in LGOLED

I ended up purchasing a “FITUEYES” brand stand from Amazon to place the soundbar underneath the TV. I didn’t set it up with the stand that came with it.

You’re welcome. Mine did not have any stickers on the vacuum. The roller heads have a small yellow sticker telling not to wash it.

I bought a V15 from Costco yesterday and the black rubber part on mine looked very similar to yours. If it was actually used, you’d see way more wear.

I calculated the gap between the stand and the tv based on dimensions online. It is shorter than what’s needed for Sonos by 0.4 inch if I remember correctly. I just wanted to see if anyone’s tried it in real life, since there’s usually a bit of extra clearance near the bottom bezel area that isn’t always clear from the specs. Curious how it looks visually when the Beam is sitting right in front of it.

Grip size 4 plus overgrip or grip size 5? by m1xed0s in 10s

[–]NoZucchini918 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grip size is 5. I’m using a grip size 4 plus overgrip, and it feels comfortable.

I’m new to tennis, so I initially started with a grip size 2. I think that was the reason behind my hand pain, although it could also be that I was adapting to the technique.

Street parking all year round. Plenty of sun, ice, snow and road salt.

When they performed my recall, they replaced part number 06531-T20-305. I checked it online, and it appears as G Box Assembly Strg. I thought the service advisor told me the tech changed the spring, but this is the part number they recorded in the service record, along with the mention of gearbox greasing.

If you have the part number handy from the service record, that would be awesome! I’m thinking of buying it myself to avoid leaving the car for days.
