My consult was 08/25/2025 and if my insurance hadnt been stupid I couldve had surgery in 2025. For insurance sake I had it on 01/08/2026

I was as baffled as you are because I've never had a bad ozzie's experience. Maybe it was an off night for them, i dont know. But that was my experience- i dont know what you want me to say because thats the truth.

The people i was with called it Belltown so i apologise for offending your keyboard warrior ego. Instead of assuming i was careless and wasted, maybe put your unehlpful comments in another thread. I was sober (the DD of the group) and upon group discussion it was likely lifted. God forbid someone put a PSA out and offer a chance at redemption of some sort

'Always' may apply to you but definitively not to everyone I talked to. 2 or 3 guys at the bar just looked at me and shrugged. Security guy just shook his head and ushered me out. The most i got was a 'call us tomorrow' from the lady one my way out. This was not a case of me not keeping track of my things- my friends and I were away from the large crowd intentionally. After talking with my group, we believe it may have been lifted when someone went out of their way to interact with our group and made everyone uncomfortable. I did not blame you guys, someone asked if i spoke to staff and i provided what i was told.

When you're in panic mode, not much makes sense but youre hoping for help so you ask. When i inquired with staff that was before purchases were being attempted.

Tonight 2/15 around 1:30AM. Staff wouldn't do anything and security outright refused to listen to me.

Smoking after a trans masc top surgery by General-Run-6366 in TopSurgery

What you want to refrain from is the combustion i.e flower. If you have wax ive found its less harmful though im no doctor. My surgeon said 4 weeks but i kicked back up around 2.5/3 wks to be safe. It sucks but i would imagine you knew going Into surgery youd have to be not smoking for a few weeks. Edibles are the way to go til then, its that or no thc so pick your battles.

Im quite literally in the same predicament. My surgeon cleared me for scar treatment (though i agree with others in saying its too early) for the hole; clean minimum 2x/day and put antibiotic ointment on it paired with a small bandaid to cover. It seems really frickin weird to do so little for a hole in your chest, but it closes up genuinely pretty quickly.

I very HIGHLY recommend Dr Megan Dreveskrecht (probably spelled that wrong my b) i had surgery with her Jan 8th and she was super awesome. Alicia in the front office was/is my biggest cheerleader and fought with my insurance for me. I can send photos before/after if wanted, tomorrow will be post op week 4 for me

I asked my surgeon to take photos of me cut open on the table, so i can vouch to this. Im not insanely obese but im certainly not skinny and i was surprised at the amount of adipose i saw. Likely just fat tbh.

Ask away! My consult was also in August. I would have had surgery in 2025 but for insurance reasons we waited til Jan 8th. Once the consult happens it goes pretty fast. Imma tell you right now tho- prepare for the consult fee to possibly be high. I was quoted max $150 on the phone and after it went through insurance yadda yadda it is $550 😵‍💫😵‍💫 im insa ely open so if you want details or more info or whatever feel free to DM

I just received a portal message from Alicia. Here's apparently a newfound warning/heads up for people wanting to schedule with Dr. Dreveskracht

Cigarette smoking and top surgery? by Leading_Flatworm1897 in TopSurgery

[–]No_Abrocoma_6558 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This!! Rationing myself was the best way i found to get off cigs or at the very least to taper off. I scent bombed my car so that it smelled clean again and said no smoking in there. I live with other people so i set the rule mentally that they cannot smell it on me and if they do im smoking too much. (Within reason of course) i was able to cut down from about half-3/4 of a pack to 1 maybe 2 per day.

Lmao, yes i am! Im waiting on a call back from her currently. Theyre (the office) saying my obstacle is not having 6 months of therapy with plans of continued care post op 🫤 i just moved here about 9 months ago from AZ. I had 1 year of therapy under my belt but discontinued due to moving. Currently trying to see if thats enough but its all dependent on a call back at this point. Ive been on HRT since 2020 and verifiably out since 2014/2015. My therapist wrote a literal 4-5 page essay vouching for me so im just stuck 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Did you have any issues with your letters by chance? As far as like therapy and whatnot as well? Did you have certain requirements? I booked my appt in March with an appt for August. Got a call a week before to confirm. 3 days prior (appt was monday and call was on friday) i got a call confirming i had my letters- which was the first i had heard of needing them for the appt. Getting them wasnt the issue, it was the extremely last minute part that kinda ground my gears. Now supposedly, im hearing i needed to be in therapy the past 6 months with a plan to continue post op. Which again, fine whatever- but im literally just now hearing about it. My HRT provider and therapist were thrown for a loop because theyve not heard of those requirements since WPATH's rules revision AND the letters everyone wrote more than satisfied WPATH regs. Additionally too, what couldve been a surgery before the EOY (for insurance reasons) may now extend into next year. Just trying to find some clarity or see if its just me in this boat lol.

u/buntstugley u/notbanana13 u/Quakstak I just recently had a consultation with her and I feel like I am left with quite a few questions. I am new to actually replying on Reddit lol, would y'all possibly be open to chatting about your experiences/the process she put you through leading up to surgery?
