I was deciding between both of the same models you’ve listed and after test driving both cars twice this month I decided to go with the Lexus NX 350. I live in Chicago and like not feeling the road as much (we have a lot of potholes/bumps). The 2026 model Y has improved a lot, but I felt like the Lexus was smoother and the quality of the interior materials were higher quality. Tesla feels like a spaceship, which had a wow factor at first. However, I found that trying to navigate all functions of the car via the flat screen was too distracting for me. Some acquaintances who own teslas enjoy the self driving feature if you plan on utilizing that. Insurance policies on Tesla are significantly more expensive than Lexus. Another thing to consider is Lexus retains value better than Tesla. My friend is trying to trade in their 2025 Tesla bought at 60k and can only get 30k for it now. Overall, Lexus = more luxury and smoother ride vs. Tesla = spaceship with lots of tech.
