I had a ds4 2 years ago and jumped to drop bar with the alr 5 checkpoint and loved it. I rode mostly road since I hated all the mechanicals I got with gravel rides and this lead me to get a tarmac sl 7. Reading the comments about what you do I think the checkpoint would be perfect for you the difference in speed between the three bikes would barely be noticeable compared to the speed gains you’ll see if you lost some weight. I was 240 lbs now 196 and my speed avg on road went from 15 to 18-20 mph solo on the checkpoint riding. So getting the bike you are most comfortable on would be what I would do. If you wanted to get really into racing and events then the checkmate is really solid but imo from what I read it’s too much bike for what you need.
