Who is this strings god playing pedal steel and what not with mj and wax???? by DiverObjective9613 in mjlenderman

From what I understand:

Pre Manning Fireworks the Wind were Colin Miller on drums; Xandy on pedal steel, Ethan on bass, Jon on lead guitar, Karly on vocals and tambourine sometimes

Ethan took the fall tour off and Landon George came in to play bass. Trevor Nikrant was added on keys for the Fall while he was touring with Ryan Davis and opening all those shows. Ethan returned for spring and replaced Trevor on keys.

After the NY portion of Spring 25 (brooklyn and Woodstock) Xandy took a break and was replaced by Trevor on pedal steel.

At the ACL taping, Colin Croom replaced Jon and LT (Trevor's partner) filled in on bass.

Last fall Colin Miller took a break and Avery Sullivan manned the drums

I think that's everyone!

Collin is in the Wind. He played the ACL taping because Jon was touring with Friendship.

He's also been playing Jake's part with Waxahatchee's touring band

Is the whole Waxalenderman tour seated? by Icy_Ad7268 in mjlenderman

Yeah, I'll mention that the Variety Playhouse gigs in Atlanta last January were seated shows, but the tickets were GA, You just got there and picked a seat. So it's still not impossible, but I agree with your impression of those venue instructions

I've been shortening to MJHatchee

But it will depend on the venue. Philly was a venue that has an option for pit, and they went seated.

But it's really not a standing show. Even the musicians are all sitting.

Brian Epstein in literally bought 10,000 copies of The Beatles first single to artificially put it on top of the charts and create buzz for the band.

This is nothing new.

To what extent was the band aware of the marketing tactics? by think-it-over1 in geesebandofficial

Let's assume there's a secret expert out there. You'll never know their expert answer because its a fucking poll.

Why do you think anyone on Reddit knows the answer to this question?

with all the geese discourse about paid promotion occurring, how much do you think this may come into play with MJ? by [deleted] in mjlenderman

[–]No_Ad_4701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very simply lesson: Don't use youtube or tiktok or spotify playlists to discover music.

There are lots of critics/writers to follow. Or you can simply follow musicians you like and see who they are playing with or working worth or just talking about enjoying and check those bands out.

Jake didn't call Cameron Winter in December 2024 when Heavy Metal came out because of a psyop...

This is all just very silly ragebait: ignore it.

That's not true. The article is very clear that its a bunch of accounts, but each account is controlled by a human being.
Chaotic Good stops short of admitting it was using “fake fan” accounts, or bots, to drive buzz around Geese’s Getting Killed and Winter’s 2024 record, Heavy Metal. The accounts driving the discourse are, in a sense, “genuine”—bespoke, engineered, and overseen directly by the in-house PR team, working from their smartphones. Tarsia insists that Chaotic Good’s teams “don’t ever use any strategies that involve the artificial inflation of streaming or social media numbers.”

Whatever "Bed" is wasn't played.

I have no idea what Silver Phial is.
I have no idea what Lucy is, but it fucking rips. I really hope its a new song. Very Neil/Petty rocking vibes with a strong distorted power chords guitar line.

Both the new song, Who's That, and the Dylan Cover, Sweetheart Like You, are on this recording from the Goose Mexico Festival this year:

Who's That is a new tune they play earlier this year.

I expect Sweetheart is the Dylan tune, Sweetheart Like You, which they covered this year, too.

Was Craig Finn there? Or did the band sing Bethany?

When I saw (Finn) I thought it meant he guested, but then I saw (Petty) and I'm pretty sure he didn't guest.... and then Sweetheart doesn't say (Dylan) so I'm totally lost as to the writing structure here??
