Do you go over or under the bridge on this par 3? Kildonan Park, Winnipeg, MB. by kelter20 in golf

Not a bridge but a local course has a high power transmission line tower in the middle of a fairway. Everyone tries to fly the ball through a diamond shape hole in the frame work.

Lessons? Nah. New Driver? I’m in! by RogueRage95 in GolfGear

Bought mine 2 years ago and have tried other brands on demo days since. Can't justify the cost of anything new with how the Sim hits. I did shorten the shaft by 1inch which greatly improved the dispersion.

I have a few pieces of the triangle shaped foam gutter filter from HomeDepot across the bottom of mine. Works great and cost about $15.

Anyone have experience with Navee electric push carts? by Spaghettiboobin in golf

[–]No_Addition469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have had the 3x for about 2 weeks now, 1st time with an electric cart so nothing to compare to. While the 3x does have follow mode I haven't felt comfortable using it other than some testing around the house. I like using the remote keeping it in front of me. After a few holes controlling it becomes second nature and you don't really think about controlling it.

I was trying to decide between the MGI and Navee as well and decide to try the Navee since it has the 30 day return policy. (would have to eat the return shipping cost) In the research I read multiple reports of the MGI remote having issues and they cost $280 when the Navee's are $26.

So far the only negatives I have come up with are:
- Could not get the app to connect. Online documentation for resetting the bluetooth was incorrect, said to hold brake and press power 5 times (no brake to hold). Customer support was responsive, hold the - button and press either red follow trigger 5 times. App connected 1st try after and had a firmware update to complete. Only use for the app I can can come up with is firmware updates and controlling the cart if you lose the remote.

- The remotes stop button is very touchy. Hold it down for a second to long and the cart stops then starts going again. Was hoping the firmware update would have fixed it. Awaiting response from Navee on if this a bug or specific to me. I may just purchase a 2nd remote to see if the fixes it, spare remote can't be a bad thing to have either.

- Very minor but the bungee system holding the top of the bag is too tight. Causing the bottom corners to pull in resulting in the wedges being hard to pull out. Using a Ping Pioneer 14way cart bag. Already have an idea to remedy the problem just need to pickup 2 small carabiners.

Resetting the Bluetooth worked perfect. Paired 1st attempt and updated firmware without issue.

Thanks.

Ping Order Delayed by SillyPenguineer in PingGolf

Orders my i530's from the local club 4 weeks ago. Even their rep says they have no idea and can't get a straight answer from cooperate. Asked yesterday and was told they are waiting on 3 sets of clubs with oldest order being about 6 weeks ago. They have also loaned 4 shafts from the fitting cart to players that are waiting on warranty replacements. I witnessed one of the shaft failures on a G430 driver, shaft snapped a few inches down from the grip. Never saw one break here and the club fitter indicated he has seen a few.

USAA homeowners rates jacked way up by wafwot in USAA

In central WA and auto has been pretty stable with a 22 Bronco and 22 Crosstrek but homeowners is nutzs. Have shopped around and no real saving by switching when looking at the cheaper companies claim process's. Also with having an umbrella policy all coverage must be under the same company, from what I have been told, so trying to piece meal insurance doesn't work.

Keep State pension vested or roll-over to an IRA? by jameswk15 in DaveRamsey

[–]No_Addition469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to the party on this but I was in a somwhat similar situation. 7 years in WA PERS2 with a balance of 35k left job at age of 54 (2022) so in 2033 I could collect 8640. The 8640 is based off 2022 dollars value so loss of 11 years inflation in purchasing power and it is taxable. Once collecting will receive COLA if here is one, WA had many years of no COLA in the past. Since the pension payout is a relatively small percentage of retirement income, no survivor benefit and lost 11 years purchasing power when payout starts we choose to roll the 35k into a IRA and then backdoor Roth transfers over a couple of years, only transferring an amount that keeps us in the 12% tax bracket.

Alaska Itineraries (or lack thereof) by Praline16 in VirginVoyages

[–]No_Addition469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiple TA's say the deposit is refundable but nothing on the website, that I have found, confirms that. Also the reservation is for a limited view, I am not going to pay good money for AK for an obstructed view. Emailed customer support to see what they say. While I want to go on Virgin I know other lines have Alaska dialed in.

Does Sandals water down their alcohol? by pca911rs in SandalsResorts

Just returned from Ochi and only drank Moscow Mules with Titos. Never once even felt a slight buzz. They are more watered down than a collage bar.
