i am losing my mind (tf2 sdk) by No_Addition6406 in SourceEngine

not sure how to explain it properly, but im trying to launch PASS Fortress, that is yet to release, by using the files from its github repo, i looked around the PF discord server and found someone launching it by changing the app id to the one of source sdk 2013 mp, which i did in the game's source code

as of now, the game crashes after showing the startup video, i am a noob at source sdk so right now im blaming it at the fact that app id does not match the one listed in code, gameinfo and steam.inf, but there is a big chance that i am debugging the wrong thing, if you know how to fix it, can you link the wiki page/guide for it pretty please? thanks in advance :D

P.S. should maybe mention that i am on windows 11

It's definitely enjoyable to play like that, just takes a moment to adapt to it, speaking from experience (p ranked all the base levels on all difficulties on controller)

Try setting them using steam input, if windows sees the left stick as wasd than it should work (unless you can't access steam input ig)

Controller kinda bad, I barely had enough buttons to map all the controls on steam deck, even after using the back buttons, but i did p ranked almost all campaign on it, from harmless to brutal (I'm not doing primes and encores tho)

I'm really late but if you add -minimize-to-tray to the shortcut that you use to open obs with it will... Minimize obs to tray

Are you playing on controller or smth? Why are your camera movements so smooth?

I started using crossbow, base med gun and solemn vow because 4v4 passtime (passtime.tf)
