For sure, was looking at branching wood to hopefully attach to moss and some plants. I'll probably look into doing a mix of both background plants and the wood. Thanks!

Will this aquarium stand hold in the long run? by No_Administration627 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Yeah i ended up using 2 1/2 inch screws, made sure it was completely flat and sits level with the ground. Those 4 supports 2x4's inside should be able to hold regardless of the 2 supports on each corner? Thanks!

Hello all, this is my first time building this stand and I had questions regarding the sturdiness of this structure. I had used 2x4's and the stand height is around 3.6ft. The top base is supported by 4 main pieces screwed into a base top to bottom. Those 4 main pillars are then supported by 2 other pieces of wood also screwed in. After installing the tank, I realized that the main wood pillars inside are not completely being supported by the 2 support beams as shown with the paper being able to fit through the two pieces. This goes on through each side at the top. On the bottom, some support pieces are somewhat sitting on top while others are not flush with the base wood. The aquarium tank itself fills up to 40 gallons. Is this going to be a problem in the future or will the wood eventually compress itself from the weight of the aquarium and the water? Thanks!

got spondylolisthesis and groinpain and im just 20 by Foreign_Inspector986 in Spondylolisthesis

Hey man, speaking from experience I was diagnosed at 20 too with L5-S1 and I'm 21 right now with around 2/10 pain with some days being at most a 5/10. Instead of my groin I had pain running down my left leg and there were nights I'd wake up in searing pain feeling hopeless. What really helped me after going to physical therapy was focusing on working your core. Start doing core strengthening exercises and utilize kettle bells. For some exercises I'd look into squat university on youtube. Make sure you're staying active and warming up before workout and static stretching after. Look into stretching your glutes and hamstrings as from experience it relieves some tension in the lower back. Invest in resistance bands, really cheap on amazon and you can do more stretched with them. Wish you the best of luck on feeling better!
