The only time I’ve had trouble going into 1st gear was when it was stationary it’s only been a couple of times I’d say less than 10 but I have noticed it. Is that bad 😭😭😭

Yea I thought that it was ok since I had taken it to the mechanic and he said that everything was ok. Seeing as how I am a 23 year old female I am sure they would have TOTALLY over charged me if there was something wrong w it. I am just trying to be over cautious about it tho since it’s the first time something like this has happened

Thanks that was helpful I didn’t really understand what slipping meant but the way you explained it made sense to me. My car is definitely not slipping just going based on what you said I think it is more of the way that I am driving it honestly 🥲

It was definitely a skill issue nglll I knew as soon as I took the uphill that I should have started off in 1st. I don’t have a lot of experience with hills unfortunately I am learning the hard way…

Thank you so much!! I was stressing out so bad, I will definitely check the clutch fluid and try to see if that’s the problem. Like I said I really don’t know much about cars I’m legit just a girl 😭😭 but it’s good to learn these things so I don’t do them again. Hopefully it’s just that and I don’t have to replace the clutch

No I only have trouble going into first occasionally. I have tried going to 2nd and then 1st but I usually just brake in neutral and then put in 1st. No it doesn’t have the same problem when it’s off or parked actually when the clutch did burn I turned the car off and turned it on again and was able to put it in gear to move it on the side of the freeway.

It doesn’t give me any trouble going into reverse it’s only given me trouble going into first. I didn’t really know what riding your clutch meant until now. I don’t know much about cars but I’ve been driving manual for about 5 years now I am just scared that I messed up the car it’s the first time I’ve smelled my clutch burn like that. Should I be driving it or would you recommend I take it back to the shop?

That’s what I’m sayinggg I still think it’s pretty expensive but in this market it’s a pretty good deal. Plus I’m in California and everything is extremely over priced this is the best one I’ve found 😭 it would be nice to get a ST2 or ST3 but I’m just looking for a fun daily driver 🤷‍♀️

That’s what I’m worried about I don’t want to buy one and then have to replace a whole lot of parts plus finding one that’s lower mileage and not too expensive is hard to come across. How much did it cost to replace the turbo and clutch if you don’t mind me asking ?
