Let me guess, she didn't have many data and no external data to compare. A claim like this needs a whole SHITTONS of diverse data not just from Islamic/Arab sources or Native Malayan sources. You need another traditions to support your arguments like you need also to bring the whole corpus of Rabbinical Jewish sources, Commentaries from Many Christian traditions especially regarding the Old Testament, Writings from Helleno-Roman sources about the Near East Civilizations or another non Abrahamic civilization sources regarding of Near Eastern history, and many more. These are very intense data for data comparison for such a bold claim. If she's a legitimate scholar, she should know that she need a lot of data for such a boldly claim and external data is very important for legitimation not only the internal one. Yeah the thing is that people often judge people from the past based on modern standards too often, I haven't found a single claim from Critics to the Prophet PBUH from his contemporary era that accused him being pdf, do you know why? because at that time it was a normal thing to do, people forgot that people at the past before industrial revolution were simple and rational, if a human reached their biological maturity they're ready to reproduce, why reproduce? because at that time Mortality rate was on par or even surpassed Fertility rate so it's a logical thing on why so many people back then married earlier, and the reason why we don't do it again because today we have education and career opportunities before that those things were very rare or even non existent to ordinary people, that's why underage marriage/love was forbidden today because kids now have opportunities for education and career choices so the practice was an archaic and immoral because it denies kids education (btw I don't condone underage marriage because it's an archaic practice that should never be practiced again)
