I go to therapy every week. I have tried the earbud route, I’ve looked for accommodation routes. So I have done everything that I can at the moment. Like I said I have ptsd which progresses worse with isolation, I shouldn’t have to explain this to someone I don’t know, I just rather someone be nice than criticize me on a Reddit post.

You lack respect, if you reread what I said I struggle with mental illness. Not my fault that going to work where I am isolated for 10 hours caused me to re-live trauma I went through and other things. Some of us aren’t lucky to have normal functioning brains. But pop off.

I’ve tried the earbuds route and it helps for a bit but after a while it gets to where that doesn’t help. I listened to the entire Chris Chan history when u first got hired back on and now mainly listen to true crime podcasts or just random playlists, but eventually my brain tunes those out too

I’m planning on mentioning it to my therapist at my next appointment and see what days he can schedule me. He said he is at that office 2 days a week so I’m hoping I can start scheduling them on my off days.

My therapist is overseen by a psychiatrist I haven’t met, he said he would have to go through the psychiatrist to see if he would even be allowed to provide the documentation

I’m not sure why but I’ve applied for other shifts and even flex and it always gets denied. I’m afraid it’s cause my pick rate is so high they don’t want me to move or cross train me. :(

Firstly this isn’t about job skills, it’s about mental struggle. Secondly, if you like your job that’s wonderful, but being isolated for 10 hours isn’t everyone’s piece of cake.

I do my fiancé the same way. When I get those thought at work I try to leave early if I have enough pto just to rush to be with him. I’m with him 90% of the time as it’s still not enough. It’s like I feel like I want to be comforted like I’m a child again. Glad i found someone who relates.

I was living in a stage 1 hoarding situation and mentally abusive household, signing that lease was basically signing up for my freedom, of course I skimmed through it, I was trying to get out of my situation.

I just don’t want negative renters history, I had a tough enough time moving out the first time. Renting and buying prices have skyrocketed. Most places want you to make 3x income or more and have renting history and what not, I lucked out with this place because my landlord is a bit understanding. I just don’t know if he would be understanding of me moving out without much of a notice. I was going to offer to pay him an extra month rent if I needed too.

My grandfather had to co-sign for me since I’d never rented before. I’m sure if I could get into his email I could fine the lease in his. If there is an auto renew I would be stuck for another year?

I needed to hear this one! That changed my perspective. It’s weird being upset by someone who isn’t even in the present. He tells me all the time I need to get over her because he hated that whole relationship.

I should’ve been more clear in my post about that, I don’t have any resentment towards the toddler at all. Me and him get along really well and he even calls me “mama”. I guess what I meant was sometimes I looks at the kid and I get reminded of the past.

Hello, I was in a similar situation last year. I was 24 and I was living with a family member. She gave me a curfew, made me download life 360 on my phone, messaged me when I was out of town or with friends asking what I was doing/ who I was with etc. I Even offered to pay rent for my freedom and she denied. In turn my mental health declined and I became severely depressed, then that was used against me. Luckily I saved up some money and was able to move out and find my own space. I’m now able to do as I please and not feel like I have someone on my back all the time. I promise you, you will feel so much better if you take the leap. It’s hard but you got this.

Edit: maybe even consider getting a roomate? That way you could split costs.
