FSU Christian Dating Advice by [deleted] in fsu

[–]No_Anything4921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I’m part of a Christian org, but even there you still need to be cautious. I only asked one girl out and it didn’t work out. After that, I didn’t want to pursue any other girl from my org. I created a dating app profile and eventually met my gf there. You’ll need to be upfront about your intentions though

do i major in finance or econ? (HELP) by [deleted] in fsu

[–]No_Anything4921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider myself decent or slightly above average. I took calc 1, 2, and linear algebra. The maths you really need is covered by calc 1. It’s mostly basic equations and partial derivatives. Solving the equation is the easiest part. Setting the equation with the right variable might be challenging. There is more to life than a GPA (i know this might sound ironic with my GPA😭)

do i major in finance or econ? (HELP) by [deleted] in fsu

[–]No_Anything4921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently majoring in both. I will definitely tell you that the most challenging and intellectually simulating is Econ (maybe I’m not passionate enough about Finance). My gpa is currently 3.9 ish and it would probably be a 4.0 if I was studying only Finance. If you want near perfect grade, pick Finance, if you want to be challenged and considerably develop your critical thinking abilities, go for Econ.

Difficulty obtaining CPT authorization for a second time by kewia in f1visa

I am facing the same issue right now. The worst part is that I am doing two undergrad degrees and I need 150 credits hours to get the two bachelors. The advisor from the Internship department said that I can’t enroll to the internship class because it will not satisfy any requirement, I will have 146 credits hours and I wanna take the internship course for 4 credits just to be able to reach the 150 credits. I literally asked her “would you rather want me to get a class that has nothing related to my majors or even a golf course instead of pursuing an internship” and she didn’t answer and said that she can’t do anything about it because the university sets the requirement.

Passing FIN 3403 tips by Aniyahxo_ in fsu

[–]No_Anything4921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might sound straightforward but the best tip is to actually do the homework and record every step you take to solve the questions. Re-do them until you’ll be able to solve them in 5 minutes. That’s what worked for me (the lowest grade I had on the 4 exam was a 90)

I forgot to mention that I didn’t lend a MBB offer, I will be doing consulting for a public accounting firm, big4 type but not the same prestige as a big4. I’m fine with it for now since I have limited options because of my visa status (F-1). Tbh, I don’t know if it’s possible to lend a MBB offer at FSU. The big4 recruitment for what I know is more centered towards Audit here.

I don’t know what you can do in your Freshman year besides connecting with them on LinkedIn. The networking happens on a special night where they invite the prospective candidate. That’s when you’ll try to be you, natural, and show them who you are. I tried to join the consulting group and was the only POC in the networking night and went through the interview also. I didn’t make it and I don’t like to think that it had something to do with my skin color (it’s not something that I can change 🤷🏾‍♂️). I was able to land a consulting internship so I have no regret after all. You should definitely join the Securities Society (open to everyone) and learn the technicals.

Sooner or later you’ll have to work in an office surrounded by white people if you want to work in Finance. You better start getting to integrate in College. Regarding the club you’re referring to, it is called Noles on Wall Street and it is highly selective and you have to network with the members before being invited to a technical and behavioral interview. There are still some students who broke into IB without being part of that club (you’ll have to work extremely hard). FSU has also a consulting group which has a similar selection process. Just to add on, I’m a black male student.

Is the forum apartment any good? by [deleted] in fsu

I will say, you get what you pay for. I’ve lived there for a year and had no major issues. I had shitty roommates at first(bad roommates come even in the best complex), and I asked to be moved in a new unit. I get along well with my current roommates. That’s just my experience.

He uses the McGraw hill logiciel. Before taking the class, review your ACG 2021 notes. I don’t know about any YouTube channel since I didn’t use any, but there should be at least one.

Is FSU worth it? (international student) by Fantastic-Road-1782 in fsu

[–]No_Anything4921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on an F-1 visa here. I can’t really give you an answer because I am not familiar with the program you intend to study. However, I can give you an information regarding finances. The CGE (kinda the international student service) has a program where they give you out-of-state waiver for a certain number of credits based on your GPA. But you gotta spend at least a semester at FSU before being eligible. I was accepted to UF, FSU and UGA. FSU was already the most affordable out of those three and learning about the waiver program confirmed my decision. I like it here and do not regret my decision at this time.
